yeah bottom line is, exactly how Kellerman said - you just turn it off, and the thing is not there anymore, dev made lots of Zaton+somebody scenes, last update has more than enough story and dev flexing his cutscene skills, this is non-issue really

well it doesn't really matter because the justification they give that was part of the culture It's very weak when dont have any consequences and you can completely turn it off.
This explanation would be good if characters interact differently depending on the player's choices. (I understand this was a lot more work for the dev) but the way it was done just seems like a weak excuse to please both sides

You´re probably not wrong. I think it´s a way to justify the existence of sharing in the game, for those who are into it or don´t mind it, but also have it be optional for those who don´t like that stuff.
