New Game, can't seem to trigger the punishment in the basement for Ain. Says I need to talk to Zahra to start it, but don't seem to work or appear. Can't remember how it happened in the previous versions either, but does anyone know?

I think it is a bug in this beta version which was leaked before the official alpha release , as far as I know from a cofiable source it is worked on.

Yeah old saves won't work because of all the reworked content, Ren'PY version updates, + internal code changes made to the game which makes previous saves from V0.16 incompatible.

Dev team recommends starting V0.17 with a new save so you're gonna wanna start from scratch. Anyways, lots of new reworked content in the early game so its worth your while to play through from scratch again ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Well, like I wouldn't be able to restart my games from every time next update is out to enjoy it fully once more anyway

Well ... if anyone bothered to actually play this game, in the past versions of this game, she gets tied up and punished in the very first missions because of letting the elf honey go


In this new no. 17 beta version, there is no cage in the basement and there is no key to the dungeon.
There is nowhere to lock somebody up and the elf babe simply leaves after Zaton gives her food and water.
In the morning after, Zaton simply visits and has some thoughts to himself about the hospitality of Zeta:

Search, or even read a few pages (or a couple of posts even) back. IMO would make sense if expected behavior in this regard would be an item within the general rules.

Famously game pirates are sticklers for the rules.

Also I really hope they convert all in-game content to "archive.rpa" instead of storing them in usual "Pictures" and "Animation" folders.
Sucks to be able play the game from .png view. Just to spoil yourself all the content in game.
And hopefully, if applied, it reduces overall game size.

I mean they did already, the images.rpa file. I unpacked it just to see what the content is still there or missing or mislabel.

Steam reviews will turn negative pretty quickly if there's only one update every 6 months. Should be interesting.

What difference does that make?

If it's pngs, you choose to look at the pngs, or not look at them.

If it's rpa, you choose to unpack and look at the pngs, or you choose not to.

Literally just your choice either way lol

And hopefully, if applied, it reduces overall game size.

This is the only possible difference, I know that a packaged rpa has a faster install time for games that require it - not sure if that necessarily translates to a reduction in file size as well, though

I rebooted my PC a couple of days ago, I remeber modifing something in the renplay files so it could let me use saves from my other PC, maybe that messed up something?

Maybe. Impossible to tell if you're not more specific. 'renplay' you mean Ren'Py?

I am not sure if it's a me problem but there are some side quest that I remember from past versions haven't triggered in this one. Like Ain date quest and a few more .... Any ideas?

It is a beta version, so that will be fixed in the official release, can you tell which didn't trigger ? that would the team help to filter bugs out.

Ain's city date definitely did not happened, I remember that. Also, Ain dungeon quest did not happen either. I feel like there were a few more with Ain that did not happen too. Also, I am not sure but I think I've missed some mutant sections, especially on Yuna path. Maybe some decayed too, felt too short this time. I need to compare my saves to be sure about those though. If we are on bugfix, there are missing images, can't say where exactly I just remember black screen with image missing warning one or two times. Also, missing images on icons like household action pages missing almost all of them, X icon on codex quit too. These are what I remember.

And what updates those are. In the span of time most games get 2-4 updates (8 updates if you're a crazy hyperactive Frenchman working on Life's Payback) you get one update with a few new scenes and a complete rework of the existing game that invalidates all your old saves...

Because reworks/remasters of unfinished Porn games in the middle of their developement has such a great track record of being the right decision to make and never backfires. Just look around F95!

Jokes aside - I wish Zetan good luck. He has great art and storytelling skills that capture a lot of players and as long as his Patrons are willing to support his frequency of updates the game will be fine. Personally I'll wait for the actual full Steam release and hope that my grandkids will finally get to play the story the way it was meant to be
