Yes, that's what a VN is. To me it's more an interactive book than a game, and I like that. Don't play VN if you don't like thisMost of the VN's are just clicking and almost falling asleep,

I can respect that. It's all ultimately up to the dev. I will say that just because one can add something to a game doesn't mean they should add it. This isn't a first person shooter or a close combat fighting game, it's an adult visual novel. I generally prefer AVNs that don't change the original mechanics midway. It's one thing if the added items were planned from pre-release stage, but tacking on more bloat just for shits and giggles? No thanks. This game, through the first six episodes, has already struck gold with the story, characters, and lewd scenes. IMO, it doesn't need QTE or any other gimmicks. This game may not be an overnight hit, but it is steadily growing in popularity with each release. I'd hate to see a change in focus alter that trajectory.I mean in the end its up to them.
If the dev wants and thinks they could do it with reasonable amount of time why not.
It doesnt have to be anything complex, just a simple battle system for starters and see how it goes from there.
I just suggest things i'd like to see in the game and make the dev aware of the suggestion preferably.
Its up to them to do whatever they want with the suggestion.
Personally i'd just like to see some kind of interaction during combat, i dont wanna sit lazy and relax while while they slaughter people, its supposed to be intense for the player too, adding that stress in the game.
So it would make player feel, do i wanna engage in combat with those people in fear of losing or maybe winning, not knowing what could happen and it would affect the story itself preferably.
I would avoid making battle system like in some RPG games where you collect and sell items, that doesnt sound very good to me i'd give it -1 unless it works very well with this type of game
What makes amazing games in my opinion is immersion. So i think its wise to add more immersive things in the game, suitable for every player.
Most of the VN's are just clicking and almost falling asleep, if you wanna be different i already suggested something
I know it seems pretty ambitious for a small team but im just putting it out there
Except it is not suitable for many players (myself being one of them). It depends on what you are playing the game for. I am playing it only for the story and adding what you are suggesting takes away from the experience.I mean in the end its up to them.

I mean, BaD is also a VN but doesnt feel like a sleep simulator, not saying this game is but it could get even better.Except it is not suitable for many players (myself being one of them). Its in the name Visual novel quite literally means a novel with visual elements (in this case renders). I agree with the other user - maybe VNs just are not for you. If you want a more immersive experience try some non-renpy games having a combat system. There are some really good ones on this website - I would recommend the one in my signature.
I agree about QTE, but I would not consider the lock-picking in Skyrim as such. That was about touch and had nothing at all to do with time, which is the defining factor in QTE. Actual QTE is the worst sort of combat mechanic, unless that is the point of the game. Golf games are one of the few examples of where QTE makes the most sense as a mechanic.Speaking from a personal POV, as a player, finding a QTE in a game is for me a reason to go look for a cheat.
If I want to play a QTE, I'll go pick some locks in Skyrim.
Being a DIK is supreme but... to be honest... the developers are overdoing it. I don't mind the occasional minigame, having to miss some of the hottest sequences if you pick a certain path and so on. But it's gone so far, you are almost required to grind minigames (money, skills, pass exams, fix the mansion) but you are also meant to restart the game to pick the other girls you could not enjoy in the current path. And... it's not a "restart the game", but "redo a looooooooooong series of text reading, minigames again and so on and so forth. Yes, it's "optional" but guess what, the minigames wall out juicy bits that really make the game stand out.its a good game but Being a Dik just feels at least level above
