That's honestly kind of what I'm expecting too. Shani is at least a partial main protagonist and there was definitely a bit of connection between her and Merneith even without Zaton's involvement, so it wouldn't be unusual to give her the opportunity to have some one-on-one time with Merneith before we go for the big finale with everyone involved.

That is true. They can visit Mandisa on their way to their mission, though. That way they can interact but in the devlog it appears as different scenes because, well, they are.I assumed this was a solo visit from Shani with how he worded the progress report to only mention Shani for this particular scene, but mentions Shani & MC going on a mission together.
And the previews did not feature MC in them, unless he is out of frame.

Like many people said, only from 0.17. I´m actually the wrong person to answer this because unlike what the majority who plays this game, I never had any problems with my saves
Nothing wrong with having opinions and sharing them within reason. It does become a little tiresome though when the conversation is dominated by complaints about optional and avoidable content, which unfortunately happens quite a bit.
