It seems a collar is kinda mandatory for household slaves - which has a distinct clothes. It shows the owner so I guess someone less likely to mess with him - as it's probably someone rich and influental at least a bit.

Yeah, there are a couple of lines in there that talk about it, but I don't remember exactly. What you said, and I think there was another after she was grabbed in the market that she needed to wear it for protection.

Which speaks incredibly poorly about the security of Zeta, if there are rogue slavers just openly kidnapping citizens in the marketplace. Slavery being legal does not mean that you can just grab anyone you want and make them your slave, it's never worked like that.

To be fair, you were bringing home an unknown person who belongs to a group that usually causes danger to Stalkers and people of Zeta in general, so she wasn´t that wrong to be suspicious of it.
I brought her home because first, I´m playing as a Stalker who always tries to be a good person, and second, I figure the game would give me a chance to either corrupt her or make her an ally, which actually ended up happening.

You don't have to kill her to miss out, or at least you used to not have to. There at least used to be (IIRC, think I got hit w/it once) a bug where she became inacessable in the basement, if you didn't go to Adira w/her early enough.

That said, OP said he left her to die, which I guess was where she was first encountered in the Decayed camp. As much as I've always grabbed her, it actually is a valid position if the MC decides trying to take this unknown raider would be potentially confrontational in the middle of an enemy base, while he was there with his daughter.

From what was said to Ain, I think so. Zetan slavery may be a lot worse than ancient slavery. Note that this makes sense in context, as it follows the "might makes right" standing law of the land.

For a certainty, the ancient Egyptians were a lot more laid back abt it.

The Romans used a similar marking system; their collars literally had an "if found, please return to" note on them.

Romans would also tattoo/brand slaves, most famously on the forehead. Forehead mark makes me immediately think "Jaffa! KREE!!!"

This is a violent world. Zetan law is literally "might makes right", just with caveats that money can buy power (tho not respect, as we see w/Omar), and many weak folk can kill a few strong ones, so don't be a COMPLETE dick to those below you.

We have this basic convo in game w/a guy who got his hand bit by a mutant he caught.

Remember that Ivy was set to potentially be sold by MC before she escaped, and Kyra almost got sold by him, as well.

The queen is just top dog due to supposedly being divine, and having an army, but we have seen it played out that if you can take a thing (things including ppl taken as slaves), it is yours.

I just started playing through this game and it's really interesting so far, definitely a cut above the average 3d/smut renpy game. I have a question if anyone wouldn't mind answering, though. How often does the game present choices that can close off significant chunks of the story? And do the "wrong" choices ever pay off in some small way?

For example, by the end of day two we could have left Kyra for dead and given the girl back to the merchant. I get the feeling both choices would've cut off some plot line (the raiders and the "elf"), but the dialogue suggested we might at least see what became of them eventually. Does that happen, or is the game just teasing?

I'm tempted to do a second "bastard" play through, which I expect to have less content, but if there's nothing to see at all I won't bother with that approach.

It has what I would personally say, a good amount of this or that choices. If you want to know how much exactly and don't mind not being 100% blind. the PDF Walkthrough under Extras on the main page, is really well done and helpful.

perdon what ? where is that stated ? MC never did even voice this intention to anyone, nor it is hinted by the narrator.

And also remember that neither of them were Zetan citizens. Being able to claim slaves from barbarians outside the kingdom is a completely different situation to it being open season on other citizens.

It is probably related to Nadia´s house and not Zaton´s. Omar probably had to adjust to the Zetan customs.
Although if you go to the common room, you´ll noticed there is an empty pillow on the floor, as if to say there is room for one more

Zetan did have the opportunity to say something to Kyra about making her a slave (this was a choice), but he was never serious about that. He figures out quite quickly, that there are much better uses for her.

Our protagonist is called Zaton. The demonym of the city of Zeta is Zetan. Honestly there's way too much Z's in this game, though not surprising as the city name is literally the Greek letter Z.

Yes he did, in the event where she shows him her computer, she asks what he would have done with her if she hadn't escaped and he says "probably made you a slave".

I suppose Kyra and Asha will also have some focus since the 2nd most voted content was about the raiders and their war against Zion (and they may help Zaton and Shani after the cliffhanging).
