1. More character makes the world real and believable, so good decision.
2. Limited render capacity and lots of characters equals tiny time on each character, so bad decision.

That's right. And if, say, each update contained 2,5-3k renders, no one would say a word about the uselessness/unnecessary nature of this or that content.

Terefore, the problem is not that someone is against the Temple content (it is obvious that the dev will not disappoint and this scene will be hot), but rather the objective technical limitations that force the dev to choose which content to sacrifice in favor of another.

I think what the other guy meant by "filler" was in the typical story sense, where a particular arc or inclusion doesn't advance the narrative in any way. It doesn't matter if it's entertaining, it doesn't matter if we spend time with the most important characters, we simply don't learn anything new that matters and we don't do anything that continues the story. Like, if you never visit the living room you won't be confused by anything during a later mission because you didn't miss anything relevant.

It's not sacrifice, it's selection of content to include in the next update. The content will be there eventually.

Yes, it will appear, but we will have to wait another 3-4 months, and maybe even longer if it turns out that something else has been prepared for the next update that, in the opinion of the dev, is currently more important than the content that players have been waiting for months/years.

I have nothing to complain about yet, as in this and the previous update I got what I had been waiting for several years, but there are people who have different priorities and expectations regarding chars and related content.

Yep. In the next update, we'll kick their asses. I'm hoping for a very bloody/gore outcome , coz I'm not a fan of cliffhangers like the one we got in this update.

In fact, DS in one of the greatest games ever made in the genre — a true cult classic.

my only complaint is that in the team effort scene, Shani didn't push Neith down and make her take the creampie. Characters being a bit too responsible for my liking. and yes, we should just throw caution to the wind and knock Shani up after too.

Maybe the dev doesn't have yet a clear vision for the next steps with the characters mentioned and is taking his time to think about them more. Desert Stalker has become a monumental work for the genre, and I wouldn't be surprised if the author himself sometimes feels a bit overwhelmed by all the possible development paths and the amount of time and energy needed to reach the ending of every route - and then convey them in the story's climax.
I certainly would like more action with the main characters, but if we give the dev a break like this every now and then he will get some rest and still delivered someting good, even if half of an update is "filler".
When I was a teenager I used to watch Naruto or DBZ and there were some good fillers that kept me hooked, even if I longed for the next principal saga. I'm sure that with a little patience we'll get everything, even the war council with all the leaders who will have a huge orgy of reconciliation between the various factions over Zaton's dick
The quality of Zetan's work is always top-notch, so I expect even the temple content to be enjoyable and interesting anyway. Everything will come in due time, but also be aware that the project won't be finished for at least 5 years with all these ramifications. Lots of fun on the road await us...

If the Dev wants to do filler content, there´s already plenty of girls in need of scenes that he could do:
- Every girl of the mutant faction could use more scenes: Krait and Chilli are being teased as the next in line, he could make the MC pay a visit to their HQ and have a scene with each of them. He could also add a scene with Red or a new variation to Dr Pepper´s "sample collection";
- The raiders have a new member now, maybe paying a visit to see how she´s doing would make an excuse for a scene; there´s also de one-arm girl, Kitty is there too and if nothing else there´s always the raiders sisters. MC could go there just for a quick fuck with them;
- We could visit Lirah to check on her;

If nothing else, there´s a lot that could be done in the common room, lots of variations to be added.
So there´s lots to do here without adding even more girls to the story.

As for the next update, I thought it was pretty well set up from the last one:
- Shani and the Queen 2nd part of the mission;
- Shani goes on her date with Mandisa;
- MC goes on the double date with Zahra, Savanah and Igor;

I would also use this update to set up the next one: Rabiah and Nadia visiting and possibly moving in and Ivy coming back to continue her story.

Given how much the dev delayed the double date, I doubt the Shani date is happening anytime soon
