I'm willing to give it a shot, but I think I would prefer both, rather than a 180 reversal. I wouldn't mind some longer, more meaningful lewd scenes with characters such as Shani or the Queen, but I'd hate to lose getting more of those fun, shorter scenes at the household. And I certainly would miss having the option to sex up random side characters that you meet and/or defeat when out roaming the wastelands. I love that part of the game. The repeatable, harem lewd scenes at home were a good decision from a design perspective. They allow for some shorter but enjoyable interactions that are available anytime, even if a particular episode's production needs to focus on story building a little more heavily than on new lewd scenes. But I really hope they keep adding more home interactions throughout the life of the game. As stated above, they are a great part of the story and you can add little by little without having to worry about creating a massive, animated sequence every time.

Well, here some of my impressions about this game/VN:
Usually 'free roaming' = grind and loose immersion. But not here. The way the menus are implemented (not too much clicking & showing, where story will progress) is really well done.
(In most games/VNs you have to click 10 times, to just get out of the house, and then, once you reach the right place, you are there at the wrong time and have to wait&click again over 10000 times - really, immersion is something different)
The setting is also very coherent and fits to the rough options you can choose - especially that the MC is not some weakling and none of the super-talkative considerate MCs which you unfortunately see in many other stories (where is doesn't fit the darker plot/environment).

All in all: really good, keep just going on.

I think characters such as Shani, Ivy, the Queen definitely need longer and meaningful sex scenes when they eventually happen (though I guess, regarding the Queen, while she's slow burn like the other 2 girls, it's mostly due to the sort of cat and mouse relationship between MC and her, rather than the big emotional payoff that I think are the primary factors for Shani & Ivy).

Character like Zahra (the wife), I guess my thought on her having such scenes are, I guess 50/50. For her to have such a scene, I guess it might work if it's a special occasion? Such as her promise to make a memorable night (or something along those lines) with MC when Shani returns from the Zone?

Sweet girl like Kateryna probably deserves a long and meaningful lewd/sex scene too.
The slave girl, while I wouldn't say is necessary, my personal feeling is that I'd want her to have long and meaningful lewds too (guess she's similar to Zahra's position for me).

Shani heading to the Zone is a necessary step for the main plot (which is slowly being introduced), but it is also vital for her character arc, so it may feel like we're stretching the plot at times, or leaving it to the side, when we really are not.
In short, the main story telling is tied to some of the character arcs and vice versa.

But overall those scenes I depicted are very short, and some have said they would prefer more "feeling" in them. So, what I'm trying to do this time around (you can let me know whether you like it or not) is to have fewer, but longer, more intense and realistic NSFW scenes. It stands to reason that characters that the players have been waiting for for a long time (the Queen for instance), should get a solid scene as a payload eventually, and not a handful of renders and a short animation. The plan is for this to include a few more animations, but we will see how that pans out.

Furthering the plot and character arcs is all well and good, but hope Shani will still have interactions with MC. Likewise, longer more intense and realistic NSFW scenes would be be a great reward after much story and character development, but IMO the frequent albiet brief sexual content is a part of what makes this game great.

With Shani for example, I know it will be a while before MC gets to finally bed her, but interactions like the massage scene keep me interested and help build the tension and anticipation. Too long without some kind of lewding of Shani would be a negative for me. Also, the free use aspect of this game is a big plus for me, and I feel this may be lost with the switch in approach.

I agree with the guy who said he wants both short and long scenes. Long scenes are important for character development, but short, more lighthearted scenes are crucial in sandbox games for maintaining pacing and keeping the player interested in a character. It happens often in other games that characters feel abandoned when they don't get even a short interaction for a couple updates in a row.

Amen. I like the clear cutting, non-nonsense attitude towards opposite sex in this game. In too many games you have to build romance by taking girl to shopping mall and play bullshit games to get laid. In this world life is short and cheap, the winners gain all and losers lose everything. There is no mercy, and slaver is gentle if feeds you and doesn't sell you to the mines.

That was pretty much my only complaint with the game, to me, most of the sex scenes were pretty underwhelming so I'm glad to read we'll get some longer scenes in the future.

The only other thing I'd like to see is to have some of the characters, especially those close to the MC, show a bit more emotions and feelings.

Besides the things you mentioned Didja follow Ivy to the bunker and go to town and take a walk with your niece? Did you talk to all of your family and exhaust the subjects? If so you're probably at the end of all the content til next update

yes sorry was trying to not give away too many spoilers. but I have already done niece scene in market, the bunker scene, queen dungeon scene, Fairy in basement(buggy nice path), and car pick up scene. So thanks guessing maybe am at end until next update since nothing pops up no matter what else I try. I did the Merchants quest as well as inviting them to house and showing her around.

I love the idea of longer and more realistic sex scenes, but as some said, the small sexual interactions are a must too, and i think you can add them in a way that doesn't require a lot of effort, you can add some short scenes with some small random variations. Like maybe Emilia wakes up the MC on X day with a BJ, on another day she wakes him up with a handjob, you can use like 80% of the same scenes with smaller variations in comparison to a whole new sexual encounter.
