Exactly. Even putting this game on Patreon was a gamble which was nice as long as it lasted.
I think the whole DmD shitstorm (in the middle of the first (?) Patreon crackdown on incest content) was in 2017 or so.
Desert Stalker was created in 2020.
The devs knew what they were getting in to.
But perhaps they did not expect that this game has going to be so successful.

I can imagine it's difficult for them to say goodbye to all that.
But yeah, these themes are pretty deep rooted in the game, and are also some of the main reasons why it's so popular.

This Dev is on Subscribestar so if you supported on Patreon move your support to that platform. I only use Patreon if the dev gives us no other options. If everyone who supported on Patreon moved over to subscribestar this would be a non issue.
Fuck Patreon and fuck the scumbags who can't separate fantasy from reality.
I have always wondered, why do so many people back on Patreon instead of Subscribestar? Is it just that Patreon is the biggest and got there first? Just they have a history of censorship and questionable practices (like the handing over of data regarding the Canadian trucker thing); are there any tangible benefits that make people choose Patreon?

If the patreon account is banned, we'll be forced to switch to subscribestar. For the moment I'm waiting the news from the dev before doing the switch
Patreon has more options for paying, some people struggle with subscribestar because of their banks and what not. Also more popular platform

If you have no choice BUT to use Patreon, that's understandable. If your waiting for the Dev to fix the Patreon account that neuters the game, that makes no sense. If the Dev see's most users switching to SS and the cash flow is generally unaffected then it would be better for everyone involved an we keep out VN intact vs the possibly watered down mess that we might get.

Also, to add here, I believe that some payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, etc) may even decline processing payments due to "murky" and or questionable political disagreements with the beneficiaries that the donations go through. This can occur on either Patreon and/or SS.
But in some cases, SS might be the preferred option because as a digital content monetization platform, they have fewer restrictions, and therefore, are less regulated versus Patreon in comparison.
Moreover, some adult h-game content creators over on SS have reportedly received more percentage off their cut of the earnings versus Patreon. So some content creators may choose to naturally host their content on SS if they do not experience much of a loss per se through their monetary membership benefit entitlements via Patreon.

I stopped using Patreon years ago and there are a lot of people leaving too, surely soon the house will collapse and they will have to change the content restriction system and learn to differentiate what is True and False, just like Youtube did .
Are they really that stupid?
Maybe there isn't an Administrator there who knows how to differentiate what is "Real" and what is "Fantasy".
