Morrocan riad, the Mediterranean style is strongly influenced by it
The world of Desert Stalker and Zeta in and of itself is quite the multi-cultural society indeed :sneaky: :coffee:

Can someone please help me learn what kind of weapons are used by each character in this game? What are their names? This is for creative needs, thank you!
Most swords / machete's / knives / daggers in this game are fantasy weapons not based on historical patterns.

That makes guessing their names irrelevant.

Also, the way they scaled, held and used unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. It's probably the one aspect where the attention to detail (or dev's knowledge) is slipping below the usual high quality.

Yeah could be that the dev probably isn't well versed on the history at the time the weapons were manufactured in.

Probably more fantasy-inspired than they are historically referenced.

For what it's worth, at least there's variety in the weapons being introduced. Makes combat more immersive by having different weapon options presented to the player to look at, even though there is no "combat gameplay" per se in the traditional sense, I do like to study what weapons are being used by each of the characters in the game.

But I'm no weapons expert. No fucking idea. I just enjoy the story for what it is
Yeah tbh, for me personally I don't pay the weapons that much attention, I mean its good to know the history and/or lore behind the weaponry and how they came to survive in the post-apocalyptic world of Zeta, but I just shake it off as "Extra Details" and focus on the meat and potatoes of the overarching plot/narrative itself for the most part.

But to each their own I guess ;D

That could be, but it also could be: "What does the Daz store have that looks like it could be ancient weaponry?"
This pack:

does contain actual ancient Egyption weapons (except for the 2nd from bottom, which is an Ethiopian shotel).

The top-most dagger is used in the game, but scaled up to be a short-ish sword, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

But anyway, it's fine. I'm sure that Zaton would have superior weapons at his disposal than ancient Egyptian relics.

True. The game is set in the future, so there'd be more modern weapons, as well. Or maybe new blacksmiths that create new styles.

Oh we all know what he's packing for sure in terms of "weaponry"
huehuehue... someone's got a dirty mind

Have you ever wondered perhaps if there were advanced weaponsmiths out there that took up camp/refuge in the surrounding deserts and/or settlements of Zeta that mirrored the historical aesthetic of "ancient weaponry" but also applied a more futuristic appeal to the weapon designs to not only retain the old-world charm but to also blend the best of both the ancient and contemporary weaponry style, whilst also giving it that futuristic appeal to it as well  :coffee:

Like we've seen in the mutant's lab how futuristic some of their equipment and machinery can be, so it kinda got me thinking if it would extend to the weaponry as well perhaps?
