I really hope MC will have opportunities to do a nasty betrayal of either faction. I would be disappointed if choosing to go with 1 faction would be just telling other factions "I'm not supporting you, good luck tho, let's be friends and please don't plot against my friends". What I want to see is some sneaky plan; compromising mutant bunker defence, swaying some guards inside palace, rigging raiders vehicles with explosives, stealing decayed train, letting sunlight into the hive.... just some ideas. It could be spectacular and very satisfying for players who indeed have hatred towards certain faction. Of course it should not be one and done thing, merely a heavy wound to the faction with a revenge plot looming.

This is not a story about RL logic - if it was, this AVN would have been completed with multiple bad endings years ago.

The vast majority of us are here to see Zaton overcome the odds and find a way to win, in spite of the trials he faces - the same way we do for the action hero's I mentioned above.

Sure, there is sex, sharing, seduction of the queen etc. but none of this makes the story without The Desert Stalker - Zaton - overcoming the odds.

THAT is the overarching theme of this story.

If the lack of RL consequences is what you have an issue with, I don't see this AVN giving you the 'happy' RL bad endings you seem to be asking for...

I've been a fan of this game since the beginning and there's much to like about this game, but I am sad about how Ain has changed over time. I think the way she is introduced during the intro to the game perfectly exemplifies what I dislike.

Before the semi-recent changes, she was introduced when she excitedly ran out to greet you, full of joy and emotions and feign innocence (I say feign because she is already quite experienced in pleasuring her dad). She was the archetypical ditzy, bundle-of-joy youngest daughter.

As it stands now, while she is still a tease she's very emotionless, not at all the energetic youngest daughter that she once was portrayed as. Right now it is Zahra that greets you at the gate when you return home during the intro, and Ain barely cares that you are home. In the old intro she was like a puppy, now she's more like a cat.

I think her sex scenes reveals Zetan's vision for her; she's a free use-porn fantasy. Always available but emotionally rather closed even during sex. She is someone to extract pleasure from, rather than engage in mutually enjoyable sex. There's nothing wrong in making her appeal to the dominance and free use kinks, but it's radically different from what she was three years ago, and as a result I care much less about what used to be my favorite character.

As a desert stalker Shani already has high social status on her own. It's why she was able to get close to the queen so easily, by being one of the few women of roughly close age and status.

I always thought of Shani as his heir, probably because she chose to be the same profession as him. Also, she is the oldest. But that thought never crossed my mind. I guess I think Zaton will become ruler next to the Queen (or at least with enough influence for it) and Shani and the rest of the family will reap the benefits that come with that, while at the same time being whatever they want. In Shani´s case, she would be what Zaton is now and has been for years, a Stalker working for who is in charge.

I guess Shani could "just" become a Stalker, without meddling in politics or influence. But Zaton has already set the steps towards a more influential position. In dictatorships, people (and, by extension, their families) who become influential, must remain influential or they end up dead.

Therefore I would say that Shani is set to take over Zaton's position as general and advisor to the Queen, once her time comes.

Also, Zaton marrying the Queen is unlikely. He is already married and probably doesn't want to divorce. But the Queen would never settle for a position of second (third, actually) wife of Zaton.

Shani can do whatever she wants, including fucking his father´s bff. I agree that she doesn´t have to do it and it probably won´t be what makes her famous as a stalker, but she can be what her father is. Zaton made a name for himself as Stalker and, in the meantime, was also fucking around with a lot of women. Why can´t she do the same? Unless we´re strickly talking about sharing her like she´s there at our disposal like the others, what stops her from wanting to join in if something is happening in front of her?

Maybe, but pregnancy is definitely a thing to consider and everybody knows that pulling out isn't reliable contraception.

And I do get the impression that Shani actually prefers women.

I think the fact Shani can be a virgin and someone else other than MC can bone her would be massive and i dont think dev wouldnt wanna miss out on that but take advantage of it

That is actually a very good argument against Shani sharing.
If the player decides not to take Shani's virginity before her first mission then I do think she's still a virgin.

Trials = challenges/missions IMO - pick your verbiage.

They include:

Find relics for the queen

Deal with the raiders

Deal with the decayed and Abrax, his former mentor

Deal with the mutants and their factions - currently the military mutants and the hive

Deal with the 'general' who controls the settlement by the underpass - resolved for now with the raiders taking control

Here when I say 'deal with' I mean find a path forward.

Help the Queen deal with the palace intrigue associated with Zaton's recent find - the one that the Queen can't go to her councilors about.

As her loyal subject and all around 'fixer' - he has his work cut out for him.

That´s true. Maybe if Zaton helps the Queen to be a better, kinder and fairer leader the people won´t feel the need to go after him and his family at the first sign of weakness. But I guess this depends on what type of game you´re playing. If you´re doing the evil path, Zaton will probably only help the Queen be even worse.
So for now I think I agree with you. Shani, even if it´s just to be safe, will probably have to delve in politics. We can say she´s the one who took initiative on it, after all the bathhouse scene was her idea.
And I think you misunderstood me, I didn´t say the MC would marry the Queen, I was saying he would have enough influence over her to rule at her side, a president/prime-minister sort of thing. Or using a Game of Thrones example, Zaton would be the Hand of the King, or Queen in this case.

Like I said before, Shani can take the cumshot somewhere else. I don´t know if that world has condoms, so unless she never has sex, I don´t see other option besides this.

That is true, I forget that taking her virginity before her solo adventure is optional. I just thought that everyone would jump on the opportunity since at the time it was a scene many people were anticipating.
So if Shani doesn´t lose her virginity with the MC, does the scene with the Queen even happen? Does she lose her virginity there? Do all the other lewd scenes with her happen too?
Regardless, that still doesn´t mean she couldn´t be shared. Maybe I´m misremembering, but isn´t Kateryna a virgin when we have that sharing scene at Igor´s house? She doesn´t have sex, but she takes part in sex stuff. Shani could do the same.

Isn't that half the middle aged male MC in an action role ever though. Unreasonably capable, takes no shit and wins despite it been impossible to do in RL. I kinda thought power fantasy was the entire point because the game is less the road and more mad max with more far more cock and Egyptians.

I dont think so. I used to say this as well but it all came down to being an excuse for a power fantasy.
I could think of a RAMBO movie and that guy was struggling and winning at the same time lol or any super heroes movies, my fav is Batman despite all his inner struggles he manages to win somehow.

Havent watched Mad Max but i assume the MC in DS is way stronger than him 100x times lol

I look at this game like trying to show toddlers what a power fantasy is, its just a fantasy, dont think too much, its not meant to be even slightly 1% realistic.

Was excited to play this new Stalker 2 game and im new to the series and was like this cant be real how similar it is
