Neither, it is because Steam does not offer proper age verification which is a legal requirement to sell sexual content in Germany so that minors don't have access to it.

If Steam had a way to verify the people buying them were of age, it would be able to be sold in a lot of countries.
Australia is similar as games need to be submitted for ratings certification.
Canada and UK do it sometimes to since again, Steam cannot verify the person buying it is 18 or older.
Ok, here's how I do it:
1. Right-Click "Show Package Content"
2. Contents > Resources (In here, you create a new Folder and rename it to "autorun")
3. Move "DesertStalker.py", "DesertStalker.ph", and both the "game" & "renpy" folder from their previous location into this "autorun" Folder.
4. Go back to the DesertStalker.app and Right-click and choose "Open" since it's a 3rd software, and sometimes Apple will open a new Window telling you to Trash the app.
p.s. You can delete the .exe since it's useless.
p.p.s. I had no deep knowledge about macOS. So I just compare it to other Mac RenPy game File structures, and this somehow worked for me. Feel free to correct me if there's a much simpler solution than this.

Yeah, you can run it directly from the Ren'py SDK as well.
You can also just build a Mac version really easily, I do it for every compressed version I do, and I don't have a Mac or anything. It's super easy.

Yeah I think it's because steam locks your account on the region you created it so vpn doesn't work. It worked some time ago though but vpn were used to buy game cheaper on low GDP countries so we can't have that of course...

I think you´re on to something here. There needs to be, at least once in a while, a situation where the MC can punish people who cause him trouble like Asha did in the beginning. Maybe Kyra could keep the person "under arrest" until you arrive and decide what to do with them. You could rough fuck her, humiliate her, have Kyra and/or Asha join the fun or even kill her. If it´s a guy, you can kill him or let the raiders do their twisted torture thing and then "reward" them for it.

It could, it was the intitial deadline but they ran into some problems just some day ago and might have to postpone the beta until some day next week.
Given how broken and buggy 0.17 was I am happy to wait a few more days if needed.

I've never looked forward to an update of an adult-game with such anticipation before. It's like one of the extremely few things that I have left that's worth looking forward to in life. I'm going to take my sweet time by replaying from start with very slow line-readings.

I don't remember it being unplayable, infact I didn't even notice any game breaking issues. I have always played beta first.

Never mentioned it being unplayable or anything breaking the game but good for you I guess?I was referring to the missing content, soft locked side quests, and broken animations, few of which are still in the game.
You could still by all means complete the game but it was a notoriously buggy transition to the new Ren'Py version.
