I literally added the "leverage" image in my post. Shani had one of the thugs in the same position as the queen. And it is stupid because once they get Zaton and Shani disarmed they could just get killed. Also, why haven't the bandits killed the queen yet? There WAS room for negotiating. Zaton could have offered the truck and gear. Not that it should work, what still makes sense is to lose the truck, the gear and the queen. But you don't just drop your weapons, the things that keep you alive.

That's not leverage. That unnamed bandit means significantly less to the bandits than the Queen means to Zaton and Shani. They didn't kill her right away because they wanted to capture them. For what purpose we don't know yet.

You're also forgetting that these bandits include the same bandit that Shani encountered on her solo trip to the zone, the same bandit she disarmed and killed her two fellow bandits (not sure if this changes depending on choices, or if it is canon). There was no way for Zaton to negotiate for them to take the truck and leave them alone; they were always going to be captured.

"There could be retaliation against Zaton's family if they slit the queen's throat?" Dude, there is no guarantees the queen gets released. And the bandits are not a diplomatic party in a war scenario.

I have no idea what you mean by this. The retaliation would be from the higher-ups back in the city, because if Zaton and Shani kept fighting, the queen would be dead. Because again, they had the Queen with a sword to her neck. So the choice was either to comply and possibly they hold to their word, or don't comply and she's dead.

The people back in the city would eventually come to suspect Zaton had something to do with her disappearance (the guard that Zaton has sex with was aware the Queen was leaving, whether she knew the Queen was tagging along with Zaton is unknown), and would have him killed, and his family would either be killed or made to be slaves.

Hello, just asking for information, is 19.2 the very last update for a good long time (I mean with bug taking care and stuff) I know there are letters and numbers but that's not something I can remember or what it represents, even if you would repeat me 30 times, sadly, I'm not keeping that in my psycho mind . I did not forget anything in your post, and it only adds to my argument: "It was stupid to drop the weapons".
For starters, bringing up the girl past encounter with Shani tells you the bandits could somewhat care about other members if their group. And 2nd, it also adds to not trusting those people. Shani has beef with them, and you still think it was ok to drop the weapons?
Moving from that bit, it is not clear the bandits want to capture ALL of them. It is only the queen and to a lesser degree Shani who are likely to be the targets. It could also be something they have or know. Either way it only serves as an argument for trying to negotiate, not for SURRENDERING!! which is what Zaton did.
Lastly, I did mean retaliation from the city. I am already assuming the city would blame Zaton. So how would Zaton be able to help his family by getting killed along Shani? It's nonsense. What we Zaton did looks like a rookie mistake.

game are still having same huge mistake from before version..

these are huge mistake dev making.. now new animation d5e-21-anim same animation d5e-21x-anim.. before 0.19 d5e having 3 unique animation.. now are only 2 unique animation because 2 of 3 is same animation..

guessing dev are wanting keep it in game for next 4 month or even more time..

I don't mind violence and death in a post apocalypse setting, and when the game initially asked me if I was ok with gore, I scoffed at that even being a question. Life is cheap out here, resources are scarce. And if you don't have a good head on your shoulders, raiders will take it off.

But this game has quite a few prolonged torture scenes, and it goes beyond violence during a fight. The Queen has an execution fetish clearly, and Raiders will make sure that their murders are as slow and drawn out as possible. Gruesome stuff, but not really the end of the world. (Unless you are the person getting murdered.)

But there's a moment where Desert Stalker is helping the Mutants and fighting against some desert nomad people. And long after the fight when they have the elder captive, the main character decides to torture him while he screams before killing him. And it's just completely unnecessary to me.

Usualy, (= meaning not every time) you can decide to pass those kinds of scenes... if you were talking about raiders and the girl torturing the previous boss who keep his sister captive like a trophy, yeah the scene is harsh but the game is that way. Maybe the scene may be avoided if you chose at the very begining to pass gore scenes ? I don't know because I chose to play the game fully with no kind of censor. You can chose to go with the nicer route with some people or be mean, the scenes change with your choices but yes it's not a game for everyone. It shows nobody is purely perfect neither purely evil, it shows people can be assholes with some soul or good ones doing bad stuff that's how human works usualy, without the hypocrisy mask.

Well, I don't recall getting that choice the other day. My Stalker just went ahead and did it.

I agree with some parts of your comment. But only parts. The Queen getting caught is not bad writing. She is sheltered and Zaton is not her guard, he is a stalker. Avoiding the ambush is not something Zaton can really control, is not as if he walked into it. And when the bandits ambush the group it doesn't start well for them if you make the right choices. Zaton takes down a couple, Shani was about to get a third one. But here is where Zaton starts to act stupid:

The WTF!! moment. They pull a blade on the queen and Zaton just gives up!!!?. Worse, he drops his weapon, he makes Shani drop hers and the leverage. Better writing would have had the thugs being able to get away with the queen and/or the truck, and/or the gear they brought with them. That would work while adding tension to the story.

I totally agree the mc was supposed to be the best of the best being employed under the queen specifically was very rare and the queen should be grateful.... that's his words btw so now instead of mopping the floor of these insects he's allowing them to potentially...cuck him? Like tf? I personally don't know how to day this but the dev fucked up bad....like if u want to put John wick in a game at least make the obstacles he faces make senses ... Shani brutally killed those bandits with 3 on 1 odds while being injured and it was badass now her dad: 'surrender! Do as they say!' hopefully the next update is soon so it's fixing this disaster of an update

Just finished the new update and I think it was really good. I see people complaining about why Zotan chose to give up the fight. From previous comments, it looks like the final part was reworked, I played 19.2 version and it makes sense to give up when the most important person in Zeta is in danger. And I believe that these people are from the village we visit during this mission. Now their "father" got killed by woman who was in their tent(we see this if return there at nigh and find nobody there, which means they are out looking for MC and others), so when they return and find him dead, there is gonna be some commotion, which will give MC a chance to break free and do something.
