The confidence presumably comes from the dev himself laying out a lot of specifics about the VN going forward on his Discord server over the past day.

Alright, after the frankly wonderful replies I got here and in discord, I'm reviving the game. To be clear, it'll be a while before first release. I have a horse to get back on and I forgot how to ride.
As for incest, yes it's coming. I denied it before due to patreon. Now, I have no need.
The game will remain totally free, start to finish. I won't put it on patreon, substar, or steam. This is a hobby.
Trust in devs is understandably low, and I don't want to contribute further to it in any way, nor do I want the pressure of deadlines. I just want to make what I want and now that I'm financially secure, I can.
This account isn't hacked or anything. I won't be asking for donations or even accepting them. I'd rather you donate to charity or a local food bank.
So, until further notice, the game is back on and I'll post some renders as I rebuild characters.
