Ren'Py - Deviant Anomalies [v0.9.5] [MoolahMilk]

Characters are outstanding, both personality wise and appearance, and loving the mystery solving aspect as well. Can't wait to see how the girls start changing as they level up. The choice to be good or evil is great to have and look forward to seeing what choices affect which events later on.

Version Reviewed: v0.1.2 (demo)

Overview:
In a city ravaged by random people getting superpowers you are detective looking to solve cases and get laid.

Story:
You are a typical porno game protagonist, a generic white dude with a ridiculously huge dick that struggles to put two and two together and has the sexual maturity of a 13 year old. Even worse for you is that every single person in this city just loves busting your chops. You go to work for a detective agency that is swamped with cases now that all sorts of randos have suddenly gained superpowers.

Art:
Honey Select 2 I think. Definitely a step up from most Honey Select games, but still with that signature style.

Sex content:
Pretty limited in the demo. You get some short scenes but the core gameplay where you level up your relationship with the girls to get them to do stuff doesn't appear to be implemented in the demo. All you have are some cutscenes that get cut short, mostly because your MC is kind of knob.

Gameplay: Sandbox adventure game. The navigation around the house is kind of clunky since you have to move thorough each room individually to get anywhere, and the click targets are tiny, except sometimes they're just Ren'Py basic menus. It could use a once-over IMHO. The city navigation is fine, it's really just the house that needs work.

Conclusion: A good demo, but a little too sparse for a full 5 stars in its current form. I'll revisit in a couple of versions to see if its making good progress. I have high hopes for this one.

Some things are great, some not so much.

The renders are mostly great, I like the attention to detail in most of the scenes. The sequence with Catherine was also pretty exciting.

The story is mostly interesting, but honestly the main character needs a pretty fucking big character arc. He has the energy of a mid 2000's anime protagonist. Almost every interaction he has kinda feels like he's stupid. I dunno man.

The detective stuff so far is super linear, so it just feels like a whole bunch of extra clicking.

Also for a game that says every decision counts, the first like 10 decisions don't even get tracked by the code.

Like I really wanna give this game a 5 for the premise and the renders, but the main character really puts me off, and so far the gameplay feels like its going to be really bloated with meaningless actions.

I hope I'm wrong and future chapters turn out great.

The game is very short right now but it's an ok Ren'Py game, has skippable text but don't have much repeatable scenes. Some scenes are bellow the average games, the vagina specially looked very weird, like some bad mod in a censored game.

And if you are here for the footjob tag, there's no footjob in the game, only foot licking.

I'm really hoping this one gets some attention. This is probably the best looking HS game I've seen, and I'm really liking the detective/anomaly storyline. If this game continues like this, it'll be one of the best on this site for sure. Keep up the good work!

Update [v0.2.0]: the new release was very disappointing in my option. The only thing that was added was a bunch of grinding and skipping time to complete certain tasks, but there still isn't any sexual content with the main characters. Instead of adding a lot of new characters I would prefer to get somewhere with the existing ones.

This is a very promising start and it has already a lot of content for a first release!

But since it's only the beginning and most things have already been said below, I'll keep it short:

Positive:

• Beautiful renders, smooth animations
• Very good and interesting story (so far)
• There's not too much lewd content yet but the corruption mechanics look promising. I especially look forward to the perverted stuff you can do with your little sister (yes I played with the incest patch) at her job.

Neutral:

• Personally I'm not a big fan of these types of models. Not sure what program is used to create them but you probably know what I'm talking about. It makes all characters look like plastic sex dolls. That said, since so many (high rated) games use them I guess it's just a personal preference and I have to admit the female models in this one look relatively good.

To be improved:

• The gameplay is very smooth but like some people mentioned below, the buttons are a bit small and easily overlooked. Also the navigation in your house could be easier/faster.

As of (v0.1.1)
Wow. Just wow. It's a demo only and I can already feel it's gonna be one of the good ones. The renders is a whole other level. About 1 hour plus of gameplay but the whole setting is set up perfectly. The mystery and plot is very unique and some characters are already introduced. Here is my comment.

PROS:
- Beautiful girls. Beautiful scenes, everything is detailed and well done. Lighting and angles are amazing. Girls are hot hot hot.

-Harem and childhoodfriend gameplay. I love the idea of training the girls and building a harem around supernaturals. The bestest friend connection is very well done and teased. Sadly, elizabeth is killed off but I can feel something is coming later. I may be wrong. This game just feels like a twist is coming every corner.

- Very good plot setup. The background and idea is presented very well with tension applied to keep me interested and waiting for more. I can't wait to see what direction the story will go, there is so many possibilities. Also, very funny and witty lines. The writing is excellent.

- Mechanics. Currently, only content with 2 girls and some sides. But the I really like the action buttons and choosing what choices. The scene with Cat is delicious.

- UI very well designed and very nice to look at. I like the map system.

- Audio is great as well. Fits perfectly and creates a very good atmosphere. I can feel the situation and immerse myself in it. It is consistent and well done.

CONS:
- Some buttons may be too small. I hope dev will relook into enlarging some buttons.
- House navigation feels a little quirky.

Overall, I can say with confidence if dev keeps the same standard as demo and put out this quality, it will be one of top rank games in a few updates.

This is a review of version v0.1.1.

The positive:
Very high quality graphics for a HS game. I know some people don't like Honey Select models in general so for them the graphics might be a letdown but if you are OK with HS this game has one of the best graphics out there.
Interesting story. I really like the mystery of the emerging supernatural abilities and the impending Apocalypse hinted in MC-s dream. If dev can pull this off I know I will play the game as much for the story then for the erotic scenes.

The negative:
MC is a bumbling idiot and very immature to top. At start you can choose from 3 personality traits, "smooth operator", "street fighter" and "intellectual genius" but this does not influence MC personality or behavior at all and often MC's behavior goes totally against the chosen trait or how he is described by others in general. It only offers some extra choices at selected events. (I've only seen one extra option available for smooth operator in the current version.)
He generally acts immature, like becoming angry when teased by a drunk woman or when he doesn't understand something.
He also makes idiotic decisions in general. Because of this I as a player feel like I'm forced to do things that will have negative consequences even though there are better alternatives available.

Most of the girls have bad personalities. Sage is clearly a bitch. The scientist woman drawing conclusions by herself without listening what others have to say is irritating. I really hate that kind of character. Sofia steamrolling the MC into accepting her offer while actually she is the one in a disadvantageous situation is annoying.

Navigation of the house. The house has an unnecessary "Stairs" location that needlessly slows down the navigation. The navigation is already slow because you can only go from room to room, there is no map of the house to go to your destination therefore this extra location is very annoying.

I really enjoyed playing the game and can't wait to see the continuation of the story. The rating I gave might be a bit more harsh than I'd give usually, that's only because I hope the mentioned issues will be fixed in later updates in which case this game could become one of my favorites.

Yes, another great HS game. After first play through, I really love this game for now. Take a look about PROS and CONS.

PROS:

- Beautiful Art, Render and animation look great, I really like the visual effect in this game.
- Good sense of humor.
- Interesting story with mutantion idea (A harem X-men game ) .
- Girls look beautiful (Mia's best girl).
- Good BG music and some character voices.
- Multi route required play it again.
- One or two hours of gameplay in first version.

CONS:

- Cool UI but navigation button very small, sometime I missing it.

Conclusion, 5 Stars for me with current state, keep it up great work. This game is a definite worth to play.

Every once in awhile you try a new game and are surprise with how great it is. This is one of those times. This game has super hot girls all for the MC. A perfect harem game with incest, if you use the patch which I did. The animations were flawless and even some that are voiced. This is but the start of what I think will be an amazing game. I hope the game dose not get swayed buy Patreon's into things such as NTR or some sharing route. I was a little put of by the character Moe but his gross slob ass was avoidable. I sure as hell was wanting to share and video with him or anyone for that matter. But as I said great game great story and sexy girls all for the MC. I highly recommend this game to you harem incest fans. Great work, keep it up.

Graphics are great, UI is great, writing is great, setup seems new and unique, pretty neat game overall.

There are a few downsides, such as a clumsy house navigation with very small buttons imo (I like the city screen though). Or that some sex scenes are unavoidable (I think). The Lady Boss one made me quit the game though, not into domination either way and those were the only choices I could see.

I get the impression that MC is required to be a creep for this game, if you decline to give the pervy tech dude your sister's bestchildhoodfriend's pictures, the game warns you that it'll cost you later. So don't expect to play the hero in this one.

It's v0.1.1, so things may change. But a solid 4/5 from here.

The game is fairly solid, enough content in it right now to get a feel for what it will be like. The character design and textures are nice and smooth, the environments are all unique with a fair bit of work and quality, and the animations(Should have an animations tag) are all smooth as well.

The gameplay isn't grindy, there's a very useful tracker for quests/sidequests/etc... As well as for the stats for the girl(s), and I'm guessing there will be different routes, Love/Dom/Sub/etc paths for all or some of them, based on what's currently in the game.

The script is clean, the audio(For the few bits that exist) is all really good. No complaints on anything.

10/10 game, in its current state. Definitely worth a play if you haven't yet, only about an hour of gameplay but everything in here is solid.
