The first half hour of the game is largely ripped from Indecent Wife Hana but everything after that is quite different. Also even when events are copied, the writing is much more distinct. Like its implied Hana had a highly promiscuous past which is why she's so sexually pliable. Meanwhile the wife of DevotedWife seems less like "former slut" and more "devoted" to doing things her husband would surely enjoy.
Which ironically is why I have liked DevotedWife a lot more. Honestly I think a lot of the pay off that comes with this kind of experience stems from the tension from:
a.) The main characters own struggles with their partner sleeping with others
b.) The main heroine's struggles with her own feelings towards being promiscuous and deciding what that means for her own character
c.) The relationship evolving, often messily, to the new reality of what it means to invite other's into your bedroom.
When a game has a FMC that just goes from loving wife one day, and within a week or 2 she's ready to either fuck anyone, or cheat on her husband/boyfriend/fiance, to me that just sort of takes me out of the experience. It's like the fastfood of NTR. It
can work, when it's baked into the FMC's character from the start, like with Sieglinnde's
Let the Nightshine In, because then it becomes more about the FMC's struggles with her own addiction to sex, and how to rectify what it means for her relationship, and how the lines blur when it comes to chasing her own pleasure and performing for her boyfriend's pleasure. Buuuuttt most games just kind of go Innocent Wife -> Sexually liberated by sex -> Total slut with no personality besides sex.
