You probably already figured this out since my reply is so late, but for anyone else experiencing this, it is probably due to one-handed mode being enabled, so Mox moves left or right when you move the cursor left or right a certain distance away from her. To disable this, go into options (in game, not in the main menu) and disable one-handed mode.
