Jane and claire you get many chances for unlike the sisters , but yes eventually you decide to either go for corruption fully or corruption going into romance ( meaning turning the hearts into romance ones)

Can anyone help me overcome these two situations:
- Reply to Jane´s message - Nothing appears on the phone to respond
- Talk to Claire in class in the afternoon - I try to talk to her but nothing happens.

This game has potential, but the prologue doesn't manage to catch my interest.
The MC:
The game:
This could be done through a short montage and a few lines of dialogue showing how the MC grew up and what the major events in his life were. It would actually introduce characters properly before we start to meet actual strangers in the prologue.
The MC:
- Is of unknown age
- Has been in a severe accident
- Has been in rehab for drug abuse
- Was with Lana, but they broke up.
- In the present, he sends her creepy voicemails as if she's his diary.
- Got with Kiara after Lana
- Somehow lost Kiara; it's not entirely clear if she's dead due to the language used.
- Hallucinates about Kiara
- His mother died some time in the past (unclear).
- Dreams about his mother's grave and Kiara consoling him.
- He finished school earlier than his peers.
- Speaks at least 5 languages fluently (English, French, Polish, Hindi, and Russian)
- His brother taught him martial arts.
- His stepmother is a few years older than him but, for some reason, wants to be called Mom by her adult stepchildren.
If this is the result of a translation from a language that uses honorifics, it just doesn't work in English.
The game:
- I like the setup, but the prologue is just too heavy. I'm being told that the MC is still torn with grief, so what button am I to press other than "Give up on love"?
- Pressing "Give up on love" shows a nice sequence, but with very vague meaning. For some reason, the game quits and relaunches after the sequence ends.
- On a new game (no persistent file), the game crashes when you try to change the phone's wallpaper after the freeroam starts
- The English translation is serviceable but not great.
- There's a quest log, but its functionality doesn't seem thought through.
- You'll open the quest log to find something to do in the current timeslot.
- You can pin it, or not. It matters little since the pinned quest doesn't show up on the world screen and therefore doesn't serve as a useful reminder of the next timeslot, location, & person you're waiting for.
- The play-button on the quest log does nothing. I expected this to teleport the MC to the timeslot & location of the event. If this is a paid feature, that's fine, but then it might help to relay this to players.
- After checking for an activity, you'll navigate the world map first.
To go from your room to your classroom, you'll click the map icon, click Homestreet, click the map icon, click Outside Uni, click the map icon, click Entrance, click the map icon, and finally click Classroom.
If you fell asleep reading that sentence, imagine doing that over and over again to go between events. I'd like to suggest making the map icon toggleable to cut the number of clicks in half. Or, add a button to a quest to teleport the MC to that location regardless of the time slot. - After the activity ends, you can do it all over again.
- I like the game's visuals, but visual storytelling in the prologue isn't great. For instance, it would've been good cinematography to see the MC's "diary" (or poem book, I guess) falling out of his pocket while helping Olivia move. Now she finds a diary that we have no clue is the MC's until she asks him. When telling stories, don't have the audience lag like this. If players were aware that this diary was the MC's, they could've become curious or even anxious about what Olivia could read in there.
- With the MC barely having a will to live and only the hallucination of Kiara urging him to keep going on... What reason does he have to get closer to people or even to go out and work? His ticket to leaving this world is on his nightstand. The way I see it, he's one nightmare away from ending it. This is fine if his depression is part of the story, but so far it seems that the MC is very generous and in touch with his emotions otherwise.

The prologue is actually enhanced it kinda already has 3 episodes expaining more fo the past plus therapy events also exist.
Again you'd know that if you played the game, but that's okay.
The mc is not actually not aged , his age is literally written in the bio.
Again something you would know had you bothered to even play the tutorial.
The phone wallpaper fix seems to be an png issue , I'll fix that.
As for the rest , we try to branch stories properly with alternate endings so that you as player have control over what happens.
He doesn't know "Martial arts" he knows basic Sambo thanks to his brother being in military in past.
Again ,also something written in his and Deborah's bio.
I would honestly request to play the game first rather than judging it off a "prologue" that introduces characters , nothing else.

I didn't play much after the prologue, true.
What bio? He's not in the list of characters:
He told someone his brother taught him everything. That implied a large time investment, but I could have misunderstood; seeing his confidence at least gave the impression his skill wasn't just basic.
The point of my criticism was that I don't think the character introduction is done well. I also don't think a character bio is a valid replacement for in-game conversations and light exposition.
That's great! I don't think I said anything negative about the actual choices, except for the strange effect of the game closing and relaunching when giving up on love. I suspect there's an artistic reason behind it; I just found it jarring and unnecessary when you can just return to the main menu instead.
You might've missed a variable to activate , I'll look into it but it happens after every first quest
Secondly when he says brother taught him everything it also implies basic skills too , not just fighting.
That could be driving , that could be fighting , that could even be aiding somoene.
Also adding to this , since you asked how does someone who know all this get injured well he didn't , he actually put up a fight but you can't do much against multiple trained guards , again that's a spoiler territory but saying it to clear it.
Now , the prologue introduces characters as I said. It doesn't expand them.
It gives yo basic info , and you know from playing then who is who or how are things now.
Similar to how we knew fuck all about characters like Avallach in witcher 3 , mentioned but you need to play more to know of it.
Your point can be valid in "expanding" the prologue but saying it doesn't setup anything is a bit silly since it literally gives you control after you've been introduced to everyone.
It's upto you then whether you go for the whole porn life route or story.
Lastly, the give up ending is mainly trying to reflect life.
He realizes he can't replace Kiara so gives up and leaves everyone and everything behind, to skip in time to future where he's old and then much like everything He fades away.
Game closes to tell you that is the ending you picked there.

I've noticed a bunch of characters unlocking when the freeroam section started after the prologue, but not his.
But then why does it relaunch, or is that my system's doing?
I've never seen it do this before.
No, that wasn't my question. I wondered how someone can go through all of those events and combine them, but I probably didn't explain myself clearly.
For instance, being addicted to drugs to the point of needing to go to rehab would exclude doing well in school during that time. Similarly, seeing his state of mind now, if he lost Kiara during university, it's a miracle he did so well there.
I don't know what the timeline of events is, just something I wonder about.

This is something I entirely agree with for the people who are new to the MC. But he grew up with several people and has known others for years, and the players learn nothing about them (especially Lana) during the prologue. While it's the prologue, in my opinion, that should pique my curiosity and set a baseline of how the MC relates to the people who are already in his life.
He was a good kid in school , got into drugs and stuff at uni (early semester) and Kiara and lana are who help him to rehab , obviously hence why he's fresh off graduation where you start the game.
Lost Kiara in the last semester and yeah that did fuck him up , but he had his mom.
Shortly after mom died due to Covid and right now he's obviously not okay if you see the therapy sections and stuff but he's trying to be together for both Kiara nd her mom.
as for the lana thing you mentioned I didn't want to extend beyond much except that he knows her and then scene followed by her listening to his every message but unable to reply since she feels for him still.
More will come in story but It's alot like wanting to move on but then loving again is the harder option while just hooking up is easier.

The following isn't criticism, just my experience/thoughts.
This is another reason why I didn't play much beyond the prologue... Considering the MC was still so hung up on Kiara, I couldn't see him suddenly transitioning into casually hooking up or actively corrupting women without a significant trigger/call to action.
I would've wanted him to stop sending messages to Lana. That he got with Kiara so quickly after Lana suggested to me that he was the one to break up with her, but even if she did... Why keep sending her messages when she never replies? If she had asked him to, that would change things for me; then he's knowingly doing what she wants him to do. If she never asked for or indicated she wanted those messages, then I think it's creepy behavior.
The students are a no-go for me; I tend to dislike those kinds of relationships even if they're consenting adults. I'm not very interested in corruption either.
Even if they can be converted to hearts later, the corruption aspect just isn't for me, and neither is netori. This means that Zoey, Eugene, Deborah, Kimiko, Rachel, Muskaan, Jane, Bituka, Julie, the therapist, Claire, and Megan are out, leaving Kiara, Olivia, and Lana.
I'll probably check out some paths after I finish my current game. As long as I can refuse the encounters I don't like, it'll be fine.
Edit: Also, about Zoey, that phone conversation piqued my interest and worried me at the same time. That she's scheming to be allowed to marry the MC is... Let's call it weird.
Given what I played so far in the game, you take Corruption far too literally here. With the exception of maybe a handful scenes even the "corruption" paths are hardly corruption at all. On several corruption paths you can still be a nice, helpful guy and even turn them into full romance ones.
If you want to see hard corruption, try the game in my sig, "Pale Carnations". You can play a good person in that game (and it is rewarding doing so), but corruption (or fighting it) of yourself and others is a central theme. To quote even a good MC: "No one in this building is at risk of sainthood."
That is quite different in DoD here.

I see corruption as influencing and changing the mind of someone who normally wouldn't want to be with the MC and/or making them more open to activities they normally wouldn't do or have been resisting. The same goes for the MC being corrupted. He'll be more lust-driven and more easily persuaded to make bad or immoral choices to empty his balls.
In most AVN this plays out as the MC chasing inappropriate relationships (teacher/student or incest) or regarding sexual liberation (threesomes, anal, urination ...)
I'm not strictly opposed to some kinds of corruption, but the narrative has to carry it. What worries me about Dilemma of Devotion is that the MC is still so hung up on Kiara that he hallucinates about her. When the prologue ended, I didn't see a call to action to start chasing every skirt possible. I couldn't imagine that this person would allow others to get closer, the taboo LI even less. I may be lacking imagination, but the only kind of LI I see working for the MC in the state he's in is the one who slips under the radar and slowly disarms him. Who gently increases intimacy and makes the MC dream about her instead of Kiara. Slowly. A bit of push and pull, a little gentle teasing here and there. Certainly not a stranger wanting to start a fake relationship so she can lie to her father.
Speaking of the shop/gas station lady... I think her choice needs to be clarified or better translated. At a certain point she asks the MC if they can take more pictures. When I refused, she asked for a selfie, to which the MC agreed. A selfie is a picture, so I'm not certain what she had in mind when she asked the original question. I don't remember her saying anything about potentially going out and taking pictures in other locations, but that might've been implied.
Another situation in the intro, with the drugged girl and the MC's glasses, felt forced. This guy can't overpower a girl? I understand her taking the MC by surprise the first time, but the 2nd time he could've easily resisted if he wanted to. I rolled back on that choice and let the glasses be.
Him wearing the glasses also surprised me. He's not a fan of them when he puts them on, and we get a choice to wear them for a picture or not. I decided not to because the MC indicated they were fake and wasn't a fan. Then, at school, he puts them on anyway, which felt like the game didn't respect my decision.
On a practical level, I'm aware that the dev can't possibly make twice the amount of renders based on the choice of glasses, but then it would've been better if the MC had liked them from the start. If I had realized he would wear them anyway, I would've worn them for the selfie as well.
The game in your sig offers a very interesting choice system. It's more or less possible to play it celibately (at least when I played it last), and doing so makes the girls arguably worse off. The choice this playstyle confronts you with is interesting to me. Where do you draw the line between people being responsible for their own actions and being compassionate? Do you allow yourself to be corrupted to spare or help others? If you do, what's your breaking point? Do you revel in this newfound power and authority, and how far do you take it? When does your own lust overpower the duty of care you felt before? Combine this with the rich lady who actively seeks this treatment out, and you have a powder keg of conflicting emotions and motivations. And that's the kind of story I love. Or, you can just play it for the porn and collect all the lewds; that's fine too.
Dilemma of Devotion is still on my list to play. I've been putting it off because I want to make sure I'm fully awake to give it another and fair chance. From speaking with Shikharisfree, it seems I'll need to be a bit more patient with it before the main narrative really kicks off. I'll prioritize the events with the heart-LI + therapist and see where that takes it.

There's a bug with the navigation.
Sunday morning, it's impossible to enter the school manually. The notification "University is closed on weekends" is shown.
However, going to "Urban-Street" then clicking "Outside Uni" lets you bypass this.
On the 2nd day after the prologue, I decided to walk around and see the different environments. I ended up at the pool where the MC spoke with the coach. He mentioned something about Jane and a change in address, but either this hasn't come up yet, or I forgot about it from the prologue. There was no quest guiding me to the pool.
There are a few weird translations that jumped out at me:
- "You're going to have vampire age" which seems to mean something like "speak of the devil"
- "the eighth semester"; A semester is half a school year and is an unintuitive way to convey a time frame. In English we'd say "During the 2nd half of my fourth (or last) year", or something similar.
I'm still finding myself constantly fighting with the UI and looking for things to do.
A typical day consists of
- Wake up.
- Check the quest log for things to do in the morning.
- Try and remember where the character and location are.
- Travel to the location using too many clicks.
- Do the event
- Check the quest log again to find the next activity
- Rinse and repeat until going to sleep at night.
I see how much effort has gone into creating these locations and environments, but the navigation feels more like a barrier to content than a facilitator. As far as I can tell, even pinning a quest doesn't modify the UI to guide you to it. Something like coloring the navigation arrows to help players navigate to the location, or changing the text color of the day and time slot to notify the player that their pinned quest can happen now, would be helpful.
A world map for fast travel with visual indications of locations with an available quest would be even better. Just anything that helps me find content without having to go look through the quests of 15 people at every time slot.
Edit: Another bug.
As soon as the MC is told about the gym by Megan, he's able to go there and work out. But the story with Megan is about winning a membership. This seems contradictory.
And another:
If you go shopping with Megan and "help her" in the elevator, you can witness her marriage the same day in the next timeslot.
They'll discuss therapy and Megan giving Adam another chance, which would make a lot more sense if at least a week had passed between these events. This choice in the elevator also doesn't impact the MC's corruption, while a similar choice during yoga did. This feels inconsistent.
I'm also having difficulty finding where Deborah and Kimiko live. During their respective time slots (Thursday afternoon & Saturday evening), none of the clickable locations provide access to their events. I assume they live on Porche Street, but the houses all say: "I have no reason to be there right now."
If my MC's lack of corruption is blocking entry, it would be great to get a warning about this.
