I hear what you are saying. And certainly, there are some relevant points. But you are arguing that it isn't "Art" because it is done poorly? Art is art. I have seen some horrific "art." My opinion did not change that it is still art.I understand many people's rejection of AI 'art' - and as someone with both training in art and a fair amount of experience I even agree with most points.
However, people are overlooking a big point here: this isn't 'Art' (note capitalization); this is illustration, which is vastly different. Unless you are J.R.R. Tolkien (or J.K. Rowlings, etc.) who rated the Brothers Hildebrant illustrating his work, your visual novel (and game) is going to have graphics that are *not* 'Art' - the focus is the story or the game, the illustration is 'also there' level of emphasis; and if you go back and look at many of the historical (and contemporary) Classics, you will see exactly what I mean. Even the BIG guns like Carrol, Dickens, etc. don't rate decent 'art' (even non-capitalized) for illustrations.
And griping about 5 fingers on her hand? You *do* realize that people are born every day with extra digits (fingers / toes)... and if they are functional, odds are the doctors will not remove them! Probably should write that into the story though, if you are not going to edit it out of the illustrations.
And for illustrations, AI generated isn't bad at all. Is it *Art*? Eh, no.. actually HELL No - maybe one day it might be, but not now.
I actually am curious what AI package the dev is using...
I could trace someone else's art, and that would be art. It wouldn't be mine. It wouldn't be creative. But it would be art.

But what is ridiculous about most of the posts so far on this page is that there are people bitching about AI-generated images being used. And that somehow diminishes the visual novel? Most of these whiners have not even tried the VN itself! Complaining about AI and not even opening the game. Ignorant.

If you do not like why are you even here in this topic, give the developer a chance to tell his story (assuming the developer is a "he"). If you do not like his work or his art you are free to look elsewhere for games and art that better suit you. Peace

You make a fair point but are also missing the point of a forum. This isn't just a download hub for content, it's a place for people to share opinions. I personally don't really have an issue with AI but I do have an issue with multiple incomplete "games" by the same dev. But unfortunately you still have to open the thread to ignore it, so that's why I'm here.

From what I've seen they have been about the game. How the game is made and presented are valid points of discussion and shouldn't be, and aren't as far as I know, rule breaking topics. Bashing on the dev personally is another thing but I don't see that here. All I'm saying is these threads are for more than just glowing reviews and fluff remarks for the devs. It would be like saying you can talk about a vehicles features but now the make, model or who builds it. There would be no point to that kind of censorship especially considering the type of site this is. No one can really take the high ground here.

ok i really don't understard why so much fuzz about AI in ordinary porn games. guy is not creating terminators but naked chicks.
Clearly, the AI is still immature, but it already looks good. Give it time, and it will become the standard. It's just reality.

Why do some people hate AI art so much? Yes, I understand that sometimes AI makes images with bugs, but the overall level of art is pretty good (better than most "artists"). Plus it speeds up development. The main thing is the theme and plot, and decent art to them is only a plus. Or are games that have been developed for 5-7 years and have an average level of art, but which are drawn "by hand" - is it better? In my opinion, nonsense. Then we will also hate games with art from real porn, despite the plot and gameplay?

"Human race might go extinct.."? Tough shit! Anyway - the Amish would carry on without the rest of us (and probably be happier)
