kept seeing LiL mentioned here, maybe I should give it a try. But I remember seeing horror tag in that game and I suck at horror

It's not as bad as the tag suggests. If the average playtime now is like 150-180 hours now (active reading and grinding, so about a month and a half) you could say 1 hour or so of that is horror. But it is frontloaded, and designed to naturally filter out people who would complain too much about stuff in later chapters. Get the guide mod, ignore the care packages until you reach the end, and personally I would try to make the choices that let you see every event even if some of them can be despicable.

Some people do multiple playthroughs with different choices, I don't have time for that, I'm already doing multiple 100% playthroughs just to prune my save and to check stuff for lore and theorizing.

Hey, this game looks interesting. I just have a question, how is the harem like in this game? At this point in the game, do the women know that they are in a harem and accepts that they are in a harem? Is there actual romantic relationship progress and does the Mc take the time to keep his harem happy with them knowing that they are in a harem? I don't mind at all if the game is a slow burn or not, I just don't want to read about constant relationship drama that never gets solve.

I want it to actually feel like a real harem, where the Mc has official multiple girlfriends at the same time. It's just not to my taste when a harem game has the Mc be annoyingly dense about the women's feelings, or that the Mc be with multiple love interests and the love interests never interacts with each other and the Mc never mentions that he is with other women, or there's no actual romance and just sex. I especially just find it a bore when the Mc can't deal with the jealously of the love interests and it's just constant drama and fighting. I just don't find the love interests having constant jealous spats with each other entertaining at all. I also really hate it when harem games just has a bunch of casual sex or friends with benefits and little to no romance, I don't care for sex scenes at all, I'd rather actual romance progression.

Then, as for the current update, you won't find what you're looking for. Some girls are clairvoyant geniuses for no reason, so they are aware that something is going on, but nothing is officially in the open.
About MC, he definitely isn't dense about girls' feelings, but that's his only strong side. He never pursues any of the girls romantically, and the whole narration kind of pushes the idea that men who are interested in women are some sort of evil rot of the earth. He barely ever compliments girls as if it were some heinous act, and before doing anything naughty, he is persistent in discouraging them. That, as you may assume at this point, obviously happens only if he dances to their tune — he is never in control. Fortunately, all the girls are rather kind, so it doesn't feel like they're using him. Ah, and he is not dumb academically, so that's a plus, too.
To be honest, the strongest part of the game is the mystery. It's disproportionately good, and I'm eager to find out what happens next.

I've been meaning to check this out, but too many of the Koikatsu/LiL-inspired games always end up including at least one lesbian character/bi character, which ends up being a turn off for me (more so the lesbian character rather than the bi character), mainly because we will never see the MC get with that girl, thus dev took away a potential LI from being romanceable. At least with a bi character there's a chance, and usually they're there to setup threesomes and things like that.

Does this or will this have lesbian characters?

One game I recently played had no lesbian tag, but made one of the main girls a lesbian (or she may be bi, but her content is done currently so I'm just basing it on that, and its all about her liking another girl and MC being a vehicle to bring them together, but she finds out the other girl is straight so now she's experienced a heartbreak. I don't know if that will end up going in the direction of her slowly starting to like the MC and that its revealed she's bi, but I don't know how long that will take or even if it'll ever go in that direction), which is why I'm asking.

I'm all for having there be a threesome, if lesbian content is inevitable, and the girls get curious within that context. But outside of that, a girl going after another LI doesn't do it for me.

Aight just went through the whole thing in the last month (admittedly since LiL was on break), I gotta say, really good, especially the newer content. Can feel Elyot getting better at writing (or maybe just taking their time?), and the worldbuilding for the .13 is super interesting; not often I'm as engaged with a 'creation myth' as this, and I wanna see more. The comparisons to LiL are warrented, but the game itself gives credit in the about page (unlike some other games that take far more from LiL) and, past the premise, I think it does plently to differentiate itself.

Its a bit of a shame updates aren't too frequent, but I get that this isnt the authors whole life; take your time, if a three-month schedule works best, then so be it I say. Just hope Elyot tries not to be quite as optimistic with release dates as they seem to have been in the past, that can only dissapoint!

If I had to say anything, I'd say the earlier parts could use some touch-ups, mainly in word choice, cutting down repetition etc, as some people have pointed out before. Also, I'm sorry, but Elyot really needs to get a grammar checker working. Not 100% sure how it works in renpy, but there must be a tool to automatically integrate with a grammar checker. There are just too many mistakes, it distracts from what would otherwise be close to my favourite VN.

To Elyot; great stuff so far, and hope you find a good balance and schedule to keep this going, can't wait to read more!
