Hey hey! How's your week been? Mine was pretty okay, all things considered.
I come bearing good news. The ball's rolling with Marissa's writing. I've hit my stride and managed to find a great way to connect all her events together and develop her relationship with Justin in a way that doesn't undermine or sideline Flora.
Developing her relationship with Justin is going to be a little tricky still. While her shenanigans with Flora have certainly torn down some of her walls, Justin is uncharted territory. I won't give away how I'm working around that fact to keep the mystery alive, but I like to believe the way I'm going about it is pretty creative and interesting. That's all I'll say about Marissa for now.
Gemma's story got some attention this week as well. Like I said in my previous devlog, I know what her trajectory is for the forseeable future, so I spent time crafting and rendering some events to that end.
I'm leaving forum posts and text chats for later in the dev cycle. Most of them revolve around events that happen in omni-mode, so getting to them when omni-events are all done seems like the wisest choice for now.
V5 is going to be a turning point in the story. There are a lot of layers I want to introduce, mainly conflict. So far in the story, while things have definitely happened, it's been sort of smooth saililng. The characters are still sitting in the comfort of not facing the consequences of their actions nor being held accountable. The coming chapter will change that. Now as to who's getting confronted and who's fighting who, that's for you to find out when the update drops.
All in all, expect some juicy drama. It's going to get messier and messier from here.
That's all I have for today. I wish I could yap more, but most of this week was writing, and talking about it means I would have to dive into spoilers to give you anything of substance, so I'll just stop here!
Thanks for tuning in, and have a wonderful week!
