I mean no she doesn't. She just6 keeps charlotte very sheltered. If she wasn't the biological mother I'm positive someone would have said smething.
And I will admit, Lady Hale is pretty justified in keeping Charlotte sheltered. Given the MC could up to get killed in the rough houses early in the game and the monster that tries to kill the MC (and kills Jack), Lady Hale keeping Charlotte shelthered is probably a few good things she does.

Maybe, but remember that Lady Hale is not exactly young; Charlotte is likely to outlive her by decades. What do you think will happen to Charlotte once her mother is no longer around to protect her?

Lady Hale is either incredibly shortsighted or is working on something that makes her think that protecting Charlotte will no longer be an issue in the future (something that'll make the silver fox immortal or that will involve Charlotte dying, for instance).

Of course, maybe that's not the case, but that's exactly why I wrote "maybe." However, she really behaves like a Disney stepmother and justifies herself to her daughter like Mother Gothel from the movie Tangled, claiming that the outside world is a dangerous place full of thieves and bandits. And in general, I can understand why Sir Hale and Charlotte are not allowed outside, but they were also not present at the meeting with the Williams family. As for someone telling the main character about it, I doubt it because he has only been on this island for a week, he has no friends here, and those who treat him well have no reason to tell him about it

That's fair to say. It wouldn't be surprised if it is a mix of both.

Very short update. Felt like getting 12 pages of my favorite manga with the new chapter. Content was fine just wanted a good amount more. I'd say update was 30 minutes of content.

Ugh, I'm stuck. Old cook sends me to look for Jack the gardener. I finally find him out in the backyard near my hole in the wall, but then this tentacle monster comes out of the ground and drags us down. I have the axe and I can pull it out, but can't swing it, and it's game over. What am I supposed to do to avoid this?

***EDIT***
OK, the axe didn't work, but the shovel did. But then I made the mistake of helping Jack, and he ratted me out, earning me another game over.
What the hell. OK, don't help jack. He dies, game over avoided, but then Lily comes in and chews me out and tells me I'm useless, no more funtime between us.
Was the dev having a bad day when he wrote this part?

Lily's route is basically don't have sex with any of the other girls. She basically gives you crap if you do.

Yes, she does that for some reason. If you were also following Hale route or a harem route in general, the scene turns quite different.
