lol they planned 2 whole updates for just fantasy scenes which now will turned into 3 updates. Then without even the 3rd update dropping, they said they haven't ruled out a 4th.

Like bruh.

If this game makes them money, just make a sequel. Or make another game that's similar in kink to DMD and drop regular content. What's the point of doing 1 update a year and teasing like this?

I know this post will be taken out of context from certain people, so i kind of hesitated to answer.
But since you asked so nicely, i will tell you:

YES, there are some THOUGHTS about how it could be possible to do something with Dee in our next game.
But these are thoughts among others. So far we have also 2-3 ideas about our next game which have nothing to do with Dee at all though.
IF - emphasis on "if" - we would do anything with Dee again, then it will 100% be NO SEQUEL to the origin story. IF we would do anything with her, it would be a completely different timeline - like her future, basically Dee as MILF in her early 40s.

Also it would most likely involve a new main character (not the "old" dad MC). Our ONLY thoughts so far are like "could this happen? if yes, how?".
There are no particular plans or even any kind of story existing for now at all and we don't intend to work on that anytime soon.
Our focus now (after fantasy update is finally out) is 100% and solely on ToH, which most likely will take at least 1 more year (if not 2) to be finished.
So - contrary to what some other "experts" might tell you what someone seems to have confirmed somewhere - it might be AGAIN something which they claim to have seen unwritten between some imaginary lines.

Yes, we don't rule ANYTHING (well - except bestiality, ntr and rape) out at all - so nobody can claim that we "confirmed" something.
The heck, we don't even rule out that we stop doing adult VN at all next year, if you get what i mean?
Nearly everything we say is in hindsight that things might change over some time. So for example STEAM rules, SS rules, patreon rules.... or whatever else.
People still tend to pin us on any message we give away, interpreting whatever they want into every content we publish.

EDIT:
What we ACTUALLY PLAN is a complete overhaul of the origin DMD game - there are no new scenes in mind, and also there is no idea for any ETA for that overhaul existing at this point. Just getting the now over 7 year old chapter 1 kind of "up to date" (rework some renders, including music, maybe an ingame WT or such stuff), but that's it.
We even quite recently removed the very last rework for final version, as we encountered some severe game crashing bugs.

it’s like a movie producer saying there’s going to be 2 movies. He then changes his mind and said he will split the 2nd movie into 2 parts which makes it 3 movies. Then right before releasing the 3rd movie he said he isn’t ruling out a 4th movie.

My only point in all of this is, stop the teasing. If you are making more money from this, just continue and make regular content instead of being wishy washy about it. Stop giving fans hope for more if it’s not for certain coming.

While I'm glad a member of the dev team replies occasionally in their F95 threads, this feels a little combative to a guy who I think was posting in good faith. Maybe he misunderstood, maybe he remembered something that never happened, but I don't think he was being a jerk. The response seems a little more ... intentionally hostile.

We're all fans here, or else we wouldn't be watching these threads. Some of us are or have been patrons in the past, or may be in the future.

you don't know him - it's not about THIS post...
He has a history - it's the same topic over and over again. I had that conversation before and every time he starts anew - so nothing he does, he does "in good faith", it's actually against what being told several times before. It's not the first, nor the second time he does that - it's nearly every time when some discussion about the future starts.
So YES, my response actually IS intentionally a bit hostile towards HIM - well noticed - it's a pesonal thing, as he knows EXACTLY what he is doing and i am just getting sick of him doing the same over and over and over again.
But you are right, maybe he's doing that on purpose and i should just ignore him completely - but he should also shut up.
As long as he is ongoing telling other people who don't know better, spreading false information about what we allegedly have confirmed somewhere, so long i will continue too - obviously.

The Mr Dots team have never actually said "There will be a sequel." The whole Fantasy Scene Collection, is based on certain scenes fans were wanting to see in the game but were never included (Beastiality, Pregnancy, etc.). I've followed Mr Dots since the first release of DMD and I don't recall them ever mentioning a sequel (Maybe a few updates but never a sequel). If you have proof of them saying this, then you might want to include it in a screen capture

Guys - AGAIN you interpret things like you want.

If we say that we don't plan a version 4 and there have been no discussions about a version 4 does NOT mean that there will be a version 4.
Right now it only tells you that we didn't even THINK about to TALK about a version 4 because there has been no reason to do it. We don't plan it - we have no ideas for scenes in mind, nor anything else.
We don't say trhere will never ever be a version 4 though.
Don't you get it? Right now it doesn't seem like there will be one more than otherwise.
Look how long it took to do this version 3 aside ToH - and here we already HAD the scenes written and partially rendered months ago. How long would you think it would be to do a version 4 from scratch?
I recommend NOT to keep your hopes up at all - then MAYBE, just maybe, you get a nice unexpected surprise. Other way around there will be a huge disapointment if you grab and hold onto some imaginatinal possibilities which may or may not come true at all.
