In fact, Des was drugged in only one of my playthroughs, when I was experimenting with the various choices at the party and before that. On my first play through the party was fun except the annoying Malina. But Becca made up for it afterwards. I didn't know anything bad could happen to Viv or Des. So imagine my surprise, no, shock when I encountered those two dicks at the toilet. I was seething!
Why I like the dominant route is because it puts you really in charge. It's very refreshing (for a fmc game). And it's part of why I like the game so much. It give you freedom to shape your mc and your gaming experience as you wish. The art helps too. Another reason is the intricate world building - story, characters, history. It gives you a lot to think about. And I just love analyzing it! You know, having serious discussions about porn is something new to me! And that is what I like about this forum too, as it gives me the chance to do so. And the best thing is I learn something new too! Win - win! You engage both your brain and your groin!

DDoS is almost the perfect game for me. Detailed world building. All characters are very well written, including minor characters and characters whose actions & personality I don't like (Shanna/Malina). And to top it off very, very branching storyline, so you can really explore most of those what-ifs you have in your head. And I love to explore what-ifs. For DDoS it has come to the point I don't bother with saves anymore, I just play from the start every time.

Regarding discussing porn games. I joined this forum mostly to be able to discuss Summer Scent, which is also a very branching (although not as much as DDoS) and well written. But it has a very different feeling.

Regarding Eva vs Des. I love them both. I just want to protect them from all the bad people (which in Eva's case sometimes includes herself). I really, really want to find out whatever happened for Des and Eva to hate each other so and then I want to make them forgive each other.

Regarding Ms. Harper. I also disliked her at first when I only saw her as the blackmailing b****. Now I have more mixed feelings. She isn't a good person by any stretch, but she actually seem to care about Viv as well (to be fair I haven't much explored the sub paths yet). And I really like the lesson with Harper on the dom path. Don't you just love the look on Viv here?

Des shows animosity to Eva? It's been a while since I tried the Des route, so I'm a little rusty on the details.

I know Eva has little respect for Des the way she expects Viv to drop everything, like Des does for the art studio event. I think Eva calls Des "princess" at one point, for the way she can come off as needy and entitled.

But I'd forgotten what Des' feelings towards Eva were.

Des doesn't like her. Never said why though. Tara tells you that Des can be needy and advises you find a balance. Not to spoil her too much but also not to ignore her too much, otherwise she will leave you.

If this is referring to Eva, does it mean that Des and Eva were going out? Or Eva had a crush on Des, they decided to give it a try, but Des didn't like it. Eva got angry and stormed off. Maybe feeling she wasn't getting what she wanted or thinking Des was behaving like a "princess". And now Des is avoiding her. Come on, don't be sad. It's just a theory. A game theory. (Yeah, pun intended. I know there's a (highly speculative) you tube channel of the same name ) But I'm basing this on the conversation with Des at the bar, when Des kisses Katherine. She admitted to kissing a girl or two before or on a different dialogue choice says she wouldn't be against trying it. Still doesn't mean that she wasn't straight, just was willing to try it out.
But clearly something happened between the two.
Sometimes I feel like shooting a machine gun at a target, hoping at least some bullets hit.
But what counts is she is willing to dance the horizontal tango with Viv now.

How could I not see this before...
Both Eva and Des are pursuing only shallow relationships with just sex. Eva (better) pretends to be happy about it. Neither are willing to form deeper relationships. Eva maybe to protect herself from getting hurt when the relationship collapses. Both probably try to convince themselves that the way things are is fine. I guess in both cases Viv needs to convince them that she cares about them before engaging in sex. I haven't tried Eva's route yet, but the walkthrough says to have a romantic relationship with Eva, Viv must refuse to have sex with her this early in their relationship. I guess that if what you wrote is right, Eva does have problem trusting people, believing everybody is just looking out for themselves. And somehow convince her that you really care about her and not view her just as a hot piece of ass.
With Des this is a bit easier. If you are nice to her, she complains that if only men were this attentive to her. Then a little later if you continue to be nice to her, she (half ) joking admits that with a friend like Viv, she only needs men for sex now. And after Viv has sex with her, she bemoans that if she should have done it a long time ago. And finally after the second time she says she may swear off men all together if the sex is always this good. So where does this leave Des on the homo-heterosexual scale?
And yep, mom. By the looks of it, she is only looking for sex too. Do I see a pattern here? Although her reasons most likely are very different from Des or Eva.
So each of them has their own reason to pursue only shallow relationships so far.

I guess both Des and Eva desire affection and both took the easy route. Eva out of fear of leaving herself open and thus vulnerable. Des thinking the more she gets (sex), the more she will get (feelings). Thus she was never really satisfied and always left depressed and needed more. Leaving her in an endless circle like an addict. Never realizing or admitting it was the strength, the intensity, the depth of the feeling she craved. Or maybe she did, she just thought she could get it in a purely physical way. Only when Viv comes around she slowly begins to realize it.
I think why she so easily accepts and submits to a dominant Viv, is because Viv shows an amount of desire (for her) she never experienced before. First showing her she really cares for her as a person and then that she desires her, even hungers for her as a woman. Thus making her feel (finally) truly wanted and desired. Her name is Desiree after all, isn't it.

Mom. Mom I fear will be a tough nut to crack. I don't know how Viv could convince her she really loves her and engage in a romantic relationship with her. Mom doesn't believe Viv could keep her hands off of other girls now that she had a taste. Thinking if Viv is anything like her she'll want to have as much sex as possible, with as many women as possible. What if Viv accepts her challenge, provided the route even gets developed. Will mom keep her promise? Not to sleep with other women. I'm kinda thinking this alternative, romantic route was "relegated" to the other game, MLS. Where it is explored in depth, with it's possible consequences. So we do get our mommy fix.
That's not to say that mom's route won't be arousing, no matter who gets added into the mix, if anyone. Mom is probably the hottest of the flock, so many exciting moments will no doubt follow. I'm just saying a romance may not be possible.

On the subject of Desiree's sexual orientation.
It may be more complicated than we thought.
Des previously only dated men. And kissed a few girls. Now she falls into Viv's arms seemingly at the drop of a hat.
What's going on here.
Des's easy acceptance of Viv might mean:
- falling in love with Viv. True love and all that.
- Des was bisexual, just didn't realize it before
- Viv's (magic) seduction skills

First point doesn't need explanation. Love transcends all.

Second is tougher. If Des was bisexual, why did she not go further than kissing. I guess, if one of the girls she kissed was Eva, it might be down to Eva and Des not liking it in the end. But the other ones? It could be a similar situation to Viv. Social norms / pressure leading to her not pursuing it further. But unlike Viv, she doesn't say she didn't enjoy it at all. Thus she could be bisexual.

Third point. If it is due to Viv's seduction skills, then it would have happened far earlier. Not to speak of the nonexistence of said skills! Only after Viv's wondrous transformation the other women show any interest in her. As we discussed before, Tara played a role in Viv's sexual awakening and stirring up dormant traits or desires. Maybe with a helping of magic glitter on top to make her look more attractive in the eyes of the beholder. In this case Des is still heterosexual but curious.

Unrelated. But not really. Did Tara boost Viv's dad's attractiveness? And that enabled him to gather his harem? Or did she help him in other ways? Like financial success that made him an attractive prospect?
