The dev has confirmed the news about the saves, and the rest is just my opinion based on the uploaded images and the delay

I do expect the story to change a bit from the original. You may be right and it may end up being quite different but broken save are not an indicator of that. Most developers aren't experienced programmers and throughout a game's development they become better and better so old code isn't compatible with newer one.
I can count with my fingers how many games won't require new saves at one point during development.

A rework basically restarted the game at zero. Don't know if we are even back to the originals stopping point yet.

I think we're a little far from where we were, the original version ended at the college party, the Reworked version is just now when we meet Ms. Harper for the first or second time if I'm not mistaken and in case they add content not seen in the old version it will take a while to get to that party again.A rework basically restarted the game at zero. Don't know if we are even back to the originals stopping point yet.

Add to that the need to repeat all the routes with all the characters already seen + the new ones like the aunt and also that BlackWeb Games is developing two other games and may have a moment of inactivity.

I kinda like version 4.1 better than the other cause of the graphics but it doesn't go as far into the game as the other one.

Well, that walkthrough are really just some lines of code copied from the script files. Not a proper walkthrough. Anyway, there is a version 0.5.42 beta.

First to be sure I picked the 'looking for romance' in the beginning. I also always choose Viv to be dominant. I also did tell her that her painting has something 'missing' and didn't give her the art dealer's business card.
I didn't help Eve. I don't want to have to deal with Ms Harper because of Eve.
I think you have to be nice to her and support her. But the important part is to not to let her sleep over! Even Tara mentioned it at the salon.
However do invite her to the party.
Yes, you have to 'sell the kiss' when Viv meets Des when they go shopping to have a romantic relationship with Des. The middle option probably does nothing and the last one is for the dominant route.
Might probably ask about Tara about Des to tell the game that Viv is really interested in her. But the important parts are the kiss and the sleep over.
At the party to avoid trouble first choose to dance with Des. Viv can dance as close to Des as you want. Then go to the bar. Becca greets them there and Malina tries to be annoying. Reject Becca and stay with Des. Enjoy a couple of drinks with Des and at the end definitely go with her. You wouldn't want to miss a scene with her, right?
After the party when Viv goes to meet Des at the art studio. It doesn't matter if you accept Eve's invitation to the sorority party as it's incomplete anyway.
Feel free to have Viv be a model for Des, you won't see the result on the romance route anyway. Mind you, Des paints Viv differently depending on the kind of relationship they have. Enjoy another hot scene at the dorm. You have to. Otherwise Viv won't get the chance to confess her feelings in the end.
Few days pass and Des doesn't call or message Viv so she decides to pay her a visit. If you've done things right, the final choice for Viv is to confess her feelings to Des. Des will finally be serious for a long enough time to listen to Viv and not dismiss her outright.
The end.
Well not really, but you have reached Desiree's best ending.
If you accepted Eve's invitation, go see the party. There are a couple of hot scenes. I recommend looking for the girl with the white crop top and black hair. Her scene is quite hot. Viv can have fun with Ms Harper too, but her scene isn't as hot.
No matter what you do, probably the last scene is Viv going to a date with Ms Harper. I didn't bother with it, so I can't say for certain. I think it's because the game wasn't finished and the last part is bugged. Even if the original edition was left unfinished, we at least got a good ending with Des.
To recap the important points:
don't let Des sleep over at Viv's house - for the final visit at her dorm instead of a second meeting at the art studio
'Sell the kiss' when they go shopping - to get on her romance route
have sex with Des (after the art room) - to make her think of Viv as something more than friends

I have been wondering, is Vivian the only child of her father or does she have siblings? Half siblings, that is. As he had many 'wives'.
I tried the new edition. And I have to say, the backgrounds look much better now. Viv has a nicer body and compared to Des looks like an adult. Des has a prettier dress and Eva looks better I guess. I think some of the guys like the art dealer and Desiree's ex-boyfriend have been improved too. Though I liked Tara's old look more.
The plot seems to be indeed more streamlined, as Viv goes to drink with Des no matter what and she also gets Ms Harper's offer regardless. Several scenes I have noticed have been lifted from the old edition. I do think it would be best to write the story anew (going forward) and just take a few elements from the old story that the dev really liked, to not get bogged down in the old (edition's) plots.
The current version basically serves as a character introduction. I do like that some scenes are fleshed out more and we already get a couple of sex scenes, albeit only fantasies, while we wait for the real deal.
All-in-all good job so far and I'm looking forward for more.
