So... how's that going?

I just finished a playthrough and I want more!


Also, a little intrigued about the world. Everything looks and reads like its set in SoCal or atleast the US in general, but the currency is £s and Vivian and her mother talk about being part of Britain and wishing it would join the EU (that was set up as a counter to the empire?) so clearly some sort of alternate history shenanigans seem to be going on.

It's coming. There was actually a bit of an unexpected sex scene that I hadn't planned on doing but that's just how the story turned out so I'm doing the renders right now. Hopefully will be done by Monday.

About the world... I will admit, I have been a little pensive on what I should really explain about that. Yes, I have a lot of the details worked out but am a strong believer that world building info should be explained in story as it becomes relevant to the the story. Because the city is more of a center point in my other game 'Mother Lover's Society' there is a lot more info about it there. (yes, both stories take place in the same city)

I also figured most people probably wouldn't be all that interested in the small textbook I have made in terms of lore for this world.
But the short answer is:

The American Revolution never happened as such most of modern day Canada and everything east of the mississipi river is all part of the expansive British Empire along with the Caribbean islands and Cuba. Most of the west coast is run and controlled by the Japanese Empire. The middle part of North America and in Mexico broke away from their French rulers long ago and have broken up into half a dozen or more smaller countries.

The story takes place in the city of New Amsterdam. An undefined location on the east coast of North America but the city proper is on an island with two underground roads connecting to the mainland. But it is closer to the Sothern end hence the hot summers.

New Amsterdam much like its real life counterpart Amsterdam, is a semi independent state. Most of the British Common Law does not apply inside the city limits and most things that are not considered essential are considered legal. Drugs are legal, prostitution is legal, drinking and smoking is legal however you have to be 16 in order to purchase said items. The list goes on.
I of course have more. I have the whole founding of the city, and the 'special' circumstances around that which will be covered in later games. World War 1 did happen but not in the way we think of it because of how massive the British Empire had become at that point. Prussia and Russia acutely were allies against Britain instead of enemies, therefor Lennon was never sent by the Prussians to Russia to kick off the Soviet Revolution and things continue on from there.

Like I said. I have put way more thought into this than is probably necessary for a porn game but that's just what I do.

I think you underestimate how bored some of us get between updates, particularly for games like AWAM. We have discussions about the population density of pigeons and how many fit into a handbag FFS. Speculation continues as to where San Alejo might actually be. Personally I think it's LA.

World-building, and a dev that actually interacts with the thread here with it is far more interesting than I think you give it credit for. Besides, it adds to immersion.

From what I've studied, there are companies in the US where the shares are held entirely by the workers of the company, which is far closer to what Marx had actually intended than anything the "communist" countries actually apply.

What we see in "capitalist" countries is nothing like what Adam Smith envisioned either in his "Wealth of Nations" either. Banks should have been allowed to fail during the Global Financial Crisis under his ideal.

But then that's the fun of alternate history, isn't it?

There are no NAZIs as the Great War (WW1) ended in a stalemate where Japan was allowed to keep the bits of Russia and Prussian islands that it conquered, and France lost most of its holdings in Africa to the Prussians. (Germany isn't a thing because it came about due to the Napoleonic wars which never happened because the French Revolution never happened because the American Revolution never happened which caused the economic depression in France. Instead France slowly lost its grip on power over the next hundred years as it's monarchy continued to flounder and diminish, having to sell or give up much of it's colonial presence in the America's and later Africa.) As such the massive hyper inflation after WW1 never happened leading to the economic depression in both Germany and Italy thus the fascist factions were never in a position to ever be able to rise to power.

Instead what you had is a growing consolidation of European powers against the greater British Empire, thus the formation of the EU.

China still had it's cultural revolution with Mao but they eventually lost the war to Japan leading to something of an arms race between eastern and western powers. The EU not backing the Japanese Empire but also secretly supporting them to undermine Britain hold in the Pacific and India, but also not wanting them to get too powerful and becoming just as big of a threat.

The invention of atomic bomb in the 50s caused a lot of tensions to cool on the surface as neither of the world powers wanted to see how a conventional war with nuclear weapons would play out thus entering them into a semi cold war.

Tensions have mostly fizzled out, instead focusing mostly on economic dominance over the others.

Yes, probably way too much for a typical porn game, but I was born in the UK so I guess the mentions of Britain really jump out at me, and I'm bit of an alt-history nerd so I love different timelines. So, if the Prussians were around in the 1910s and part of the first world war does that mean there was no Franco-Prussian war in 1870 and so no unified Germany (atleast until after the great war)




Also, I've been plaything through some different routes in the last few hours; hopped off the incest express to try a relationship with Evaline and I think I've found that its possible to completely lock yourself out of it, if not playing domme, before you've even begin it really, which makes it kind of cruel given how close you get so im thinking bug or oversight?

In this route I've helped Eva to cheat by sending her the essay This leads to the confrontation with the teacher, but since i'm not dominant I can't tell her to stuff it when she tries to blackmail us, but I also do not want to get black mailed so I have to bluff her and Eva gets expelled. I invite Eva to stay over and turn down her offers for casual sex asking to start a relationship instead, and Tara will even say after this that we're on the path for a relationship, but at this point its already doomed. Because I needed to bluff the teacher i needed to have built up enough lies beforehand and the only way I've found to do this was lieing to Des at the start in the gallery, withholding that rich guy's card from Des and then lieing to Mom about going to Rebecca's party. This means I'm locked into going to Rebecca's party, and I also end up inviting Des to go to even if I invited Eva first and there is no route through the club that continues a romantic path with Eva. Either Des finds out about the budding relationship and sets off an argument that brings it down in flames (after which its just not mentioned again, Eva sleeps with Mom and I seem to be shunted onto a Des romance path) or at the end of the night Shanna turns up and spikes our drinks, forcing sex with Des (after which the romance with Eva is not mentioned again, she sleeps with mom as before and we're on a Des romance path). Is there an obscure option somewhere I'm just missing because it doesn't seem right you know?

There are ways to go to the party and not have your drink spiked but there are several factors there.
But I can promise you that you are not locked out of the Evaline romance by anything you described here. It's simply Evaline is going to be a bit of a slower burn in that regard.

It hasn't happened yet if she is living with you but eventually Evaline is going to invite you to a Sorority Party going on. Where who knows what sort of things will or wont happen.

Did you decide on why American Revolution didn't happen? [Better British policies? key players such as Washington remaining loyal? Early defeat at Bunker Hill leading to collapse of revolution?]. I'm def of the view that American War of Independence is one of those historical events which isn't inevitable [and of course there's another history where it's even more successful and the modern US includes Canada or at least parts of it]

George Washington never started the French and Indian War/7 Years War, thus never bankrupting the two countries. Thus Britain never enacted the taxation policies that sparked a majority of the people. Instead the reforms were more gradual and things like representation in parliament from the colonies were handled much differently. However this also means the British Monarchy has far more power and influence then they do in real life.

More like, I knew I wanted never wanted to set this game in 'real life' but also wanted to keep it close enough that it was still mostly familiar. This just seemed liked the easiest way to do things. Also I just find most games are set in America(understandably) and thought this would be a fun and interesting change of pace.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised, I don't normally play these types of games (female protag/lesbian centric) and I admit the incest kink added just enough to pique my interest that much to finally check it out. And at the end of the current update, I found myself wanting more.... to continue exploring a couple different PT scenarios. I enjoyed the MC, her sexual awakening was very well done in so much as her finally trying to understand who she is and who she wants to be. I liked how this game was loaded with choices in what paths to pursue along with L.I. so I never felt like my preferences for how to handle certain situations didn't matter, in other words, the furthest thing from a kinetic novel.

As far as the lewd scenes go, they were all really hot and I didn't even miss the lack of animations, which for me typically always add to the immersion of a scene, but in this case while I would have loved them, not having them did not detract from how hot, and intimate every scene proved to be. I would like to know just what the different combinations for L.I. paths are possible, are some L.I. mutually exclusive? Any throuple combinations (specifically interested in a Desi and Viv's mom combo)? I was interested first in a serious relationship with the mom, but given her resistance shy of the bet, I would have been interested in keeping it in the family with the mom, aunt, cousins and even grandmother if that could be an option at some point later in the game. Sadly for the MC, it would have been nice for her to actually have that 3 way with her parents, introducing her to the 'Boone' family style of love instead of killing off her father. If nothing else, I guess it conveniently eliminates any tricky pregnancies, which still would have been hot and even more taboo.
