Yes there will be consequences later when we reach a certain point in the story I thinkI got the vibe because there seems to be no consequences, so far, for my character sleeping with Zoe, whilst going on a date with Fiona, and pursuing Emily.
I hope there will be in the future though, and if so, I stand corrected.
But you are correct, you can certainly turn down Zoe, and you don't have to kiss Emily (I didn't) or go with Nikki (however tempting).
I did notice that there wasn't a harem tag, but I just want consequences for choices, all over. Sleep with Zoe, and Fiona finds out...she's friends with Riley...she should be pissed/hurt/jealous.
Again, it could well be in the works, but not seen so far
(I’m also aiming for some solo path with Alex/Emily )

A mix up with names; my excuse is that Alex is such a "gamey" name, like Sam/Samantha...

I just finished the current build. I need more Christie, surely there will be a redemption arc . I haven't played the devs previous game, can't wait to do so now.

The problem with sound is it takes a bit of effort to find decent sex sounds and after many polls on this site and various devs Discord/Patreon we found out most people mute sounds in games.
There are exceptions for those with great sound tracks but very little interest in sex sounds.
Personally I really don't like the sex sounds most devs use so I pretty much always have them on mute and listen to my music while playing.
The only time sex sounds aren't laughably bad is when devs splash out a bit for decent voice actresses. That gets expensive though.
