it works fine for me, when you get errors like this you should post the log that it generates (txt file)

Aminata is in the forest, not the desert. There are two types, one is a monster girl the other is a mushroom that you need for a quest.

How do I get Cassie's corruption to 34? I use "Do some research" with her in DOA, only raise her stat to 28A 26L 30C, but I need 25A 24L 34C to trigger her spa massage event.

1. You said before that the problem was with Kate, that traceback says the error is with Lydia
2. The problem seems to be that the script is looking for a ".png" while the image in the game is ".webp" ... which is strange because I'm not getting an error for that one either which seems to suggest we have different versions... did you maybe do some kind of update only install? it's the only thing that jumps out at me for why your are getting this error while I am not.

You should Tag in betterzett (the Dev) and maybe upload a save.

i know that this txt file is for lydia and i said previously that it was with kate.. but as i said i freshly installed the game...so i wanted to test all the guardians to see if the problem persisted... which it did... does not matter if its lydia or kate.. the error is exactly the same... i downloaded the big 5.0 update file (5gb and some change) a few days ago... i even deleted the appdata save files folder...
now the only thing i can think of is download the game again because i still had the .rar file from a few days ago.. so i simply deleted the game folder and then unzipped the .rar file i still had... maybe that .rar file is corrupted for some unknown reason ... need to test that...
for the saves i simply used a few of the cheat menu options to "progress faster" i guess... i dunno if the save files has anything to do with this issue but if needed ill post that as well

hmmm might be.. but i am pretty sure i also downloaded from buzzheavier because its objectively the best one for faster downloads... but i also just finish download a fresh new copy (from buzz again)... if anything changes ill post

EDIT: yup...a newly fresh download just fix the problem... i guess that .rar file was indeed bugged or something... just tried and it works perfectly... weird situation

Fresh instal - old save. Have this problem, its ocuring when u try to cach best in wilds and something similar was when i checked board with quests in hunters guild
