Damn, these devs have a lot of serious personal matters. Honestly its ok to just say "I got burned out and needed a break, I will stop lying to my loyal Patreons about release dates and the issues "preventing" me from working on the game."
He said it was a 2 week delay and it's great he's letting us know. I do not see an issue and I appreciated him keeping me informed, so I stay subbed because of a good game and good communication.

I hurt my foot this weekend playing football, I'm down for a week according to my doctor so I can't work. Life Happens to us all. I didn't lie to my customers about coming back to work today, but I do have a delay on getting some projects done. Now if the Dev or I simply disappeared for weeks then that would be a different case, communication is a great at least to me.

You are very trusting, for myself when enough devs makes excuses enough times and then abandon games that I helped support financially I stop trusting. If these devs are taking money from people they should treat making the product as a job. What job do you know that would allow excuse after excuse after excuse?

What job do you know where your boss can decide if he want's to pay you (and if so: how much) or not? If you lost your trust, stop paying.

No offense but I have seen you makes this same statement about devs for over a year now. For some devs you have a valid point but you make statements as if all devs are screwing their subs. From when I started Subbing to this particular VN, updates have been consistent and the communication to his subscribers has been good.

I love the title, I love the VN, I love the communication from the dev, they are all good at this time. If communication breaks down, or updates take forever I stop subbing. You know this from my Posts in Victoria - VIBC, no updates poor communication equals no money from me, so I canceled. I will not regret money I gave up to the point that the VN is complete or I unsubscribe. Creating these titles is not free to a Dev, yet people act shook when a dev doesn't get enough support to finish their favorite game. If you don't want to financially support that's fine, but please don't rail against the people that do, unless you see a consistent pattern of BS and lies. This dev hasn't done that since I subscribed to him.

I second what you say here. That's why I am supporting this game development too, and I am not disappointed so far.

I hope you are right and this dev is different then a lot of others. I myself have been burned too many times and when I financially support a product now its when individual updates come out that I think are worth a damn and no offense to you and others but if you just give money without anything happening I believe you make things worse because devs who are just given money for nothing then have less incentive to do any actual work.

Its like if you hired someone to do work on your house, you give them money up front and maybe they get off to a great start. Then they start making excuses why they can't do work on certain days or they need more money to keep going. The longer a dev can string people along with their game the more money they make. Now you might be ok with just giving devs money without seeing results or the results are few and far between and when you do get results they are pretty lame.

I actually think a lot of people have blinders on, are too trusting. Oh that poor dev keeps having terrible things happen I better give them more money to help out. There is a term for that.... its called being a sucker.... no offense.
