Not going to lie but this one baffles me. The text shows up black in my version and the version I downloaded. Are you on Mac or PC? (just trying to narrow down to the specifics so that I can try and help.)

Please, unless there is a txt traceback available, do post as many details as possible in order to make things easier for those who might help you (game setup, os, mods used or not etc), otherwise it is just a waste of valuable time (here even worse as it is devs time). In this case are you using mods with your game, as those are typical symptoms id say?
He is most probably just using text-mod from the older version, hence those problems.
Appreciate the assist because I have no clue what is going on with his copy.
Fortunately that shouldn't be required going forward. I've included an opacity slider for future versions.
I'm also working on a selection of four of five colors to go next to it so players can fine tune the text box to their preferences.

2.0.0P Megalink dead and is that 1.1.5+extra chapter or is it standalone so i have 1.1.5 and 2.0.0P seperatly to load ????

For now they need to be loaded seperately and have different content. Story wise 2.0.0 happens directly after 1.1.5, so play the latter until the end, and you can (roughly, but adequate for now) carry over your decisions into 2.0.0.
Reason for the separation is that the game shall be running on a better framework in the future, which is what 2.0.0 is on, while the old content will be updated and merged back into the new stuff.

Hold Shift instantly after starting the game or Hold Shift+ Letter O while the game is running. these options will show up, Try any other Renderer and it should fix it.

I went back and checked and yes I had used the text mod - Deleted everything and re-extracted and BINGO Black Text.
In my defence when I looked at the Zip file it is called "789622_DAST001-v1.1.5-pc-GUI-MOD-v2" so I mistakenly took the "Mod-v2" to mean it also applied to the current version.
My apologies if I have waisted peoples time - (Perhaps Penfoldmole should edit the textbox file name to remove the Mod-v2) and at least if anyone else experiences this problem the solution is to hand.
My thanks to everyone for your help. Love the supportive nature of this community. And thanks RomanHume for a great game

Opacity sliders should be a requirement for any VN. Many people, and most devs, are obsessed with completely transparent text boxes. I personally find that shit infuriating because the text inevitably gets blurred with the background. I have not seen your approach to the slider before though. No you're not using his but the one linked in the OP.
It says that it's for version 1.1.5 so using it with 2.0 is bound to have conflicts.
The mod i was talking about is a general purpose mod that's not linked in the OP.
