I liked the update was good to get some Amanda content I've pretty much kept it on the one path with her I really don't want to corrupt her there were a few choices in this that worked out well though. She's a nice sweet girl that I don't want to take advantage of the whole relationship building with her is well worth it.
I honestly don't know but now that you've brought it to my attention I'll take a peek at the code and see if I missed a flag or something somewhere. Let me get back to you on this one.
I'm scanning through the code now though and I can't find where I included a warning with Amanda's kill switch. Can you help me out a bit by letting me know where or in what part of the conversation you "killed" the relationship?
I know what you mean. When I first started writing this story, I wanted it to be about the relationships as much as the sex. I wanted a logic behind the action. And I didn't want the sex to be the "reward". It needed to be part of the natural evolution between the two characters involved. To that end, each of the lovers and sexual partners in the game have different views on sex. What it means, what it's worth, and how important it is in their life.No worries, and I'm stoked to hear that there's going to be a harem route of sorts. And I totally get wanting to have routes where the protagonist can get their dick-kicked in if they choose poorly, but I'm also super glad to hear there's the option to navigate your way to a good conclusion.
Also very excited to hear that there's some more Cassie stuff so close on the horizon! Sorry if I come off like I was agitated that we didn't get to the full-on incest so early into getting to know Cassie, that's definitely not how I feelIt's because I like the conversations and the dynamic you have with her that I'm excited to see how the relationship develops.
There are a lot of other games that give these sorts of taboo relationships what I call the "Brazzers treatment". Where e.g. they're doing a video about two people trying to have sex without getting caught, and they'll put in 5 minutes of lip service to the idea; they try and not moan *too* loudly, they try and stay out of sight, etc. But then the 5 minutes is up, the people who might've caught them either leave or catch them...and then leave while they keep going at it. And it turns into super standard porno fair.
And it's like, do they not get why people are looking for this stuff? The kinky stuff isn't something we the audience that's looking specifically for it want to fastforward through, just so we can to the usual jackhammering and skull-punching blow jobs
Which is a long winded way of saying I really like the writing so far with Cassie. She feels like the character's actual daughter, and that they're navigating a relationship where they're super attracted to each other, but also actually aware of the gravity of what crossing that line would mean.
Which doesn't mean they won't. Because that's half the fun ;p. But the payoff is only as great as the buildup of tension is believable. And I think you're doing a good job there man!
For characters like Lita and Lola, it's just part of the every day business. Nothing to get worked up over. For the wife, Emily, it's an expression of love and part of the bond between her and her husband. For Jane, it's about rebellion and is part of the menu of things that your parents and teachers explicitly tell you not to do. For Amanda, it's a symbol of womanhood, a rite of passage in growing up and becoming an adult. For Cassie....well, we won't spoil that one.

You and me both. If patronage continues to go up and I can afford to hire more, then that means I'm free to continue writing to my heart's content. If that happens...well, there's the possibility that I can make some of the side characters more prominent love interests. Who knows. Anything is possible.

There was some crazy shit happening while I was working on v1.0.7 and I ended up releasing it in two parts. Part a came out several months before part b but together they make up the whole of Nanami's second chapter (the strip club happenings).
I'm not familiar with Game Jolt but I am all for posting up the public version (now v1.0.7b) onto other platforms. I'll look into it.

Currently you can get characters pregnant, but I am still a few chapters away from the characters actually appearing pregnant. It will happen. Pregnancy is not an end game thing and will be part of the ongoing story when/if it happens.
Since there is no "official" incest patch, I honestly don't know.
However, the need for such a patch can be alleviated by clever use of the "Pet Names" features located in the journal in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Awesome, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! It was tough trying to strike that balance between burning to fast and not burning fast enough. So when you say you're surprised, is it "I'm not sure I believe she'd have done it so quickly" or is it "I'm surprised that she would behave that way given what I know about her, but she must have her reasons?"The Amanda routes were both great, I'm sort of surprised she allowed that to happen so soon. Things are progressing nicely.

I figured since the studio was gone, I could probably safely insert that reference without much repercussion.
As a blue path player in Amanda's story, did it feel too short or cheated? I have every intention of having blue and red paths on equal footing by the end of her next chapter. I just felt I needed another half chapter or so to really develop the connection between them on the blue path. Just curious about your thoughts.
I can't comment on the incest patch since I didn't develop it. From what others are saying it breaks things though in this version. But I'm glad you enjoyed the update all the same! If you want a quick fix for the lack of a iPatch, you could try playing with the "pet name" system in the journal. Might help a bit.
Oh, and the H in Cassie's name stands for Hay..woods..worth..ington! Haywoodsworthington. They're an old British...Scottish....Welsh, nobility! Originally Hewerdwodsworthyngtyn, it was "Americanized" by immigration officials when her family came to America in the 1700's. Wait...did they have immigration officials back then? It was the port master! That's it. It was the Port Master that gave her family that name. Anyway, glad I could clear that up mate!
While I still don't have enough confidence in my Renpy language abilities to ensure that saves won't break, efforts were made to correct some save breaking bugs that were reported by the play testers. So hopefully whatever was plaguing them was the same thing plaguing you, in which case it was fixed.
Going forward, I will continue to try and maintain saves, but I'm still not in a position to make that promise as there is a lot of optimization and cleaning happening behind the curtain.

Did you get this on a fresh install of v1.1.5 (no merging and no incest patch)? If so, were you playing from the beginning or from a save?
Currently there is nothing in the code as it is that would be causing this error. Character definitions are the first thing to happen when the game starts.
Let me know and we'll see if we can nail this one down.
