I honestly don't know but now that you've brought it to my attention I'll take a peek at the code and see if I missed a flag or something somewhere. Let me get back to you on this one.

I'm scanning through the code now though and I can't find where I included a warning with Amanda's kill switch. Can you help me out a bit by letting me know where or in what part of the conversation you "killed" the relationship?

I installed this "b" update and replayed her chapter from my last save and she switched off as I wanted. So whatever the problem was, it's now fixed.

But to answer your question, it was when she came into the study (?) and after a couple of lines of dialog I was given three options: red, blue, black. The latter had the notation that its choice would end future encounters.

AP was a real gem. Fond memories of putting all my points in kung fu and running through torrential downpours of bullets to deliver ass-beatings.

I played that game so many times, so many different ways. It was games like Alpha Protocol, The Tell Tale Series and Mass Effect that really hooked me on the idea of games with multiple paths through the story.

I liked that feeling of control in who my character was and how he effected the people around him.

AP was sadly underrated. I also liked putting all my points in stealth and moving through the whole game unnoticed, or putting them all in general baddassery and running through like a commando. So many different story arcs, it was amazing.

As a blue path player in Amanda's story, did it feel too short or cheated? I have every intention of having blue and red paths on equal footing by the end of her next chapter. I just felt I needed another half chapter or so to really develop the connection between them on the blue path. Just curious about your thoughts.

I thought it was just perfect some girls are different and very upfront with what they want like Jane for example but with Amanda, I've really enjoyed her on the blue path and Amanda being on the blue path makes much more sense to me as she is a shy girl and still has that pureness about her I'm glad staying on that path she is still the same character.

But I do like the relationship that is forming between the MC and Amanda it's nice that on the blue path it doesn't feel rushed to me in any way just seeing these two develop has been great, I enjoyed the scene in the car where she was telling the MC about her playing games and the MC trying to understand

I'm not going to lie, this one kind of baffles me. Typically a failed rollback error like this happens when a saved game breaks. Sometimes the code changes and Renpy can't figure out where to stop rolling back (from what I can tell the call back stack gets messed up and I've tried everything to figure out how to fix it with no luck).

But for this error to get thrown on a new game from the beginning, with a fresh stack. That confuses me. I'll have to do some serious digging and see if I can figure out what's happening here. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you yet mate.

Try deleting the persistent files in the game and appdata folders.

I'm curious: is everyone doing multiple play-throughs?

• I'm using save pages 1-5 for my "paragon" playthrough. Trying to stay loyal to the wife while being kind to everyone else. It's short, with most of the characters being completely shut out (as expected).
• Pages 6-10 is my "otherwise good man with a weakness for the ladies" playthrough. He flirts with the Amanda, but doesn't push too hard during the couch scene, for example. She's uncomfortable and he doesn't want to take advantage, but if she loosens up and shows interest, he'll be there. He flirts with his made and tells her how sexy she must look dancing. He offers her a better job, to give him time to seduce her.
• Pages 11-16 are the "asshole" play-through. Hot new personal trainer? Tell her you're divorced. Daughter's friend is coming on to you? Dares you to jump in the pool? "Tit for tat, my dear." Maid's working multiple jobs? "I can offer you a better position. There will of course be...other responsibilities." No shame, just do what he has to get his dick wet.

Liking the second one best.

Currently there is nothing in the code as it is that would be causing this error. Character definitions are the first thing to happen when the game starts.

Let me know and we'll see if we can nail this one down.

Was it the compressed version someone offered or the version from the OP?

Sorry if I'm hammering you with questions. Try as I might I cannot seem to replicate this bug. Though I do want to help you out in any way I can. I'm just trying to pinpoint where this is getting shunted sideways on us.

Anyone here with Renpy experience have any ideas how/why this might be happening?

Its kind of in the middle of that. Not the kissing part, she is obviously curious about that and wanted to do it again but I wouldn't have guessed that MC could've done a boob grope and masturbated her so soon. I think she wanted it, she obviously liked it but she accepted his advances easier than expected.
