She did, briefly. But gave up. https://f95zone.to/threads/love-lust-lunacy-v1-0-1-meep.175521/SubscribeStar states someone named Meep that took over. Does anyone have info on that?

You mean the remake of the demo. It never got past the introIt's a shame too I liked the demo of the remake. Every few months more and more games I like get abandoned it sucks.
I did not expect this. That's amazing. And, ofc, his views of this site are completely understandable. There are a lot of great people here, but a lot are... well, I'll keep this civil. I do like that he's going back to the original idea of therapy sessions, mainly just touching up things and trying to stay true to the original models while also converting to G9, etc. There's a reason I continued following this thread all these years later. Here's looking forward to whatever Roman manages to release, whenever that may be!News as of yesterday and today:
The dev for Dr. Amana is back from being mia and is talking about continuing Dr. Amana. He'll make the game free on his discord and use patreon and substar for anyone who wants to contribute. This way, he'll be less beholden to the masses and wont have to listen to whiners if they don't like the way things are going. This is most likely going to be slow going cause he has to make some changes to the game, and this'll be more of a hobby to him than a job since he'll be keeping his day job. As for the spiritual successor Love, Lust, and Lunacy, it's confirmed from Dr. Amana's dev that she dropped the game due to online hate.
Keep in mind, what I've written here is a condensed version of the communications he's posted on his discord, so I might be missing info, or misread what is there. If you want the full of what's going on, I suggest you check out the general chat of his discord for that info. Also, the dev said that he may check out f95 sparingly, and mostly to rip on any haters giving grief.
Oh! A dev coming back from the dead is always good news!News as of yesterday and today:

I don't know why it got hate. It might've been because most of the people who were joining that community were coming from this one. And since Dr. Amana had been on hiatus for so long, people were probably disappointed with the amount of content we got when LL&L got it's first update. But that is only a guess. As for the content; updated character models, and a one scene playable sample.Oh! A dev coming back from the dead is always good news!
I don't remember much of this games, since it's been a long time since I played it, but I think I really liked it.
And I didn't even knew of the game Love, Lust, and Lunacy. Why did it get so much hate? The usual stuff, like Female MC or NTR? Or something else entirely?
IIRC, the primary complaints I saw were (1) the update to Gen9 models, folks hating the differences from these original ones; and (2) the changes to the story. Honestly, there were some changes I wasn't a fan of myself. That doesn't justify becoming hyper-toxic to the dev, who had her own vision and wanted to keep it a spiritual remake of RomanHume's own game — and all that with Roman's blessing. But that won't stop indignant children from throwing tantrums and saying vile things to a dev. With the number of those who get chased away from this site — Nyx, Notty, ICCreations, SuperWriter, Dev-PHiL, Vega, Enyo, and others — you'd think people could learn to keep their toxic mouths shut. But apparently not.I don't know why it got hate. It might've been because most of the people who were joining that community were coming from this one. As for your question about an FMC or NTR; it was following a somewhat similar story to Dr. Amana with updated versions of each character. So we still had a male MC, and we didn't have enough content to know if there would be NTR.
Correct up to the point about why Meep left. She gave up entirely on development because of toxicity in feedback she received. Too many negative (and some extremely harsh) comments killed her drive, and she gave it up. (This is what RomanHume himself said about why she dipped out.) As I mentioned above, it's not the first and won't be the last developer to get screwed over by anonymous assholes.Quick history as I know it.
Original game was 4 devs but over time that went down to 1 left over. "Romanhume".
Roman worked on the game solo for some time. I think eventually the background code got to messed up to continue so he stopped that version (1.1.5) and carried on as a second season (2.0.0) but after the first major release of season 2 he had to stop developing the game.
His RL job went into overdrive and he just didnt have the time to continue so the game went on hold. Some time later another Dev (Meepish) contacted him and planned to take over with a fresh reboot using later gen models. This game was Love, Lust and Lunacy which they did a lot of work on updating the assests and published a first release and then went AWOL, not sure why, maybe pressure but maybe real life also got in the way. Now a year later the orininal creator is back so I can only assume his work/life balance has improved. What happens next i guess is to be determined.
Wasn't she initially brought in as the CG Artist since Roman's work became too overwhelming for him to develop alone? I remember him being very reluctant to share his passion project with someone else. I also remembered that Meep can't replicate Roman's art style (she can't do complicated backgrounds), so that complicated matters.Quick history as I know it.

And yet, RomanHume completely passed off on her decisions and was working as a partner in development of that game. If it really was a "takeover", he wouldn't have been supportive. For example, the marketing description (how great the game was going to be, etc.) was written by him, not by her.Wasn't she initially brought in as the CG Artist since Roman's work became too overwhelming for him to develop alone? The hate she got seems to stem from her becoming the lead of a new project (LLL) instead of continuing DAST. Some view it as a takeover of someone else's passion project. Cmiiw, she claimed to be a fan of DAST, yet the changes she proposed (before LLL came to be) were weird considering she's supposed to be the CG Artist, not the writer.
I meant before LLL came to be, she was supposed to be just that. Pretty sure Roman was desperate to find people willing to work on rendering CGs for DAST (others in the forum can't help him at that point) until he landed on Meep. She wasn't just "the CG Artist", but they agreed she would decide the story as well.
Could be; I'm not privy to that information. And you are correct that prior to the project she was (at least, primarily) a CG creator. Maybe she expressed interest but was reticent to work on it at first because she didn't feel like working on someone else's project. I have no evidence for this or anything, but if that were true, maybe RomanHume didn't get any other takers (or at least, none he liked) and her becoming dev lead was a condition he agreed to. It might have been like a, "At least something will happen" type of deal. It's difficult to say.I meant before LLL came to be, she was supposed to be just that. I just find it weird that the person he hired to help visualize his vision into reality ended up becoming the lead of another project, a spiritual successor at that, while the original creator just sat back as its script writer. There has to be something going on behind the scene that made them decide to just start a new game instead of continuing DAST.
