Interesting timing for this thread to be poked at.
Am currently poking around the Pabisshu games again after not touching them for three years. Though most of my attention is continually drawn by Medusa(The one with the ship) I may start poking at Dragon bride again. Already figured out how to reenable the gallery for Medusa and figured out a functional workflow for adapting existing content into new content. We will see if my efforts go anywhere or if life issues pull me away again.

So, here's the thing—I suddenly thinking about Pabisshu again
This time, I thought:
"Hey, we might never hear anything new from Pabisshu again... but I'm still curious about what he left behind."

Unfortunately, I still can't read Japanese, and most translation tools can only give me a vague idea of the meaning.
But now we have ChatGPT, and its Japanese translations are often more accurate than those from most common translators
Here’s what ChatGPT gave me. The first quoted section is about :

And this second quote talks about the :

Just thinking about how he had more planned for Princess Gwaelin...
That Dragon Bride could’ve been more fleshed out...
And even the unreleased game he was working on—where players might have played as furry characters
(which I believe would have been his first real attempt at drawing furries)
All of it just came to a complete stop. We don’t even know what happened.
We don’t know if Pabisshu is still alive, that’s what makes it even sadder

And db_ss_110421.jpg is still a lost media
Back then, we didn’t even think about preserving his digital legacy
People really need to take archiving more seriously

Some websites have rumored that he worked on Skullgirls and retired from adult content because of it
But I wonder if those rumors came from people who don’t understand Japanese and misunderstood the message?

It sounds more like he was praising Skullgirls
From what I know about Japanese creators, they’re rarely boastful
It’s unlikely someone would speak so highly of their own work
Whatever happened to Pabisshu, I really don’t think he was involved in Skullgirls’ development
It always saddens me when i see such nice projects to die (not only porn games), even worst when not hearing from the creators never again, goddamn, life is shit.
