I actually don't know anything about the Steam MTL sorry. My version is the GPT one and only comes in English, but on the Gitgud page you can DL the 'original' branch and apply it to the game to get the original text.

It actually shouldn't be too difficult, though I won't do it because I don't care for uncensored images. I don't think they usually rename images but if they do then yeah a giant PITA. Otherwise though.
If the encryption code in system.json is the same as the GPT TL:
1. Copy uncensored images over to old GPT version of the game. Done.
If they aren't:
1. Decrypt the uncensored images using a tool such as this one
2. encrypt the same images with the old encryption code in the old GPT TL
3. Copy the new encrypted images over to the old GPT TL. Done.
So not too bad, I'm sure somebody will be motivated to do it.

Thanks. It's OK, turns out it's quite easy to get the base version. There's also like 30% chance I already downloaded it, tried it, then forgot everything.
whats the difference between the steam and GPT versions ? also can i use the mod for both versions ?
If you're going to decrypt everything anyway, there's no need to re-encrypt it. Just set "hasEncrypted...." in the Systems.json to false. It's at the end of the file along with the key. Though you would need to decrypt the GPT TL images then too if you wanted to use those. May be a little more complicated.
Although I already know that any instructions beyond "download from OP" is beyond the vast majority of people on F95.

You can but then people who bought the original game have to do extra steps to get everything working. Which is why I tend to leave everything encrypted so they can just paste the patch over it.
For patch distribution I agree that's the easiest way to do it. For the purpose of DIY though it's good to have more options.

Unless Hanabi modified the old events and renamed the images, everything should work. Also, for some reason, there are more images than in the DLsite version. Finally, I left the O&M image edits intact.

I know why, the reason is because Alban didn't include the audio files in his patch. Since he has decrypted everything on his computer it works but on everyone elses, it breaks because yall still have encrypted audio files lol.
The solution is to either decrypt all your files or wait for someone to post a new patch with the files properly encrypted still.
