Not that long but knowing the guy, you can surely expect several months between every part. Anyway my subscription ends today and I don't intend to extend it any longer. I continued because flaviopaganini & laszlo12 were removed from his Patreon page for sharing previews here ( I guess I'm way harder to find because I use different accounts connected to different cards
) but it's not really worth supporting.The release take too long for small content, the fact he delivers updates in several small parts is frustrating and honestly just a cheap way to suck out more money. Furthermore every times he said he intented to release an update for a precise month, he ended up delivering it the following one.
You should increase you Patreon level then, Pirates take what is on the plate.

This was the first time I got kicked from a Patreon. I used to just share the developer diaries from all creators, but then I realized that this DEV only has that on his Patreon, along with a few previews and wallpapers. There's really nothing appealing for Patreon supporters. Such a strange behavior from a dev, feeling entitled to get payed for progress reports (or even worse, release shedueles) is something i will never get used to.
Its just free advertisement when your dev logs get published at more places

Questionable practice, especially since only the progress news (text) were shared and at most 1 render or sometimes nothing at all.
I liked that they put the whole first chapter on Steam for free as a demo, but this persecution, especially when it's not even playable content or a whole collection of images of a higher level, seems bad to me.

What's worse is that I was genuinely trying to support the dev, but this ban, along with another dev offering an extra 15-minute game only for $100 supporters, made me cancel all my support on Patreon (I was supporting more than 20 games). As a developer probably only want to share progress with his backers.
probably don't want to share it with non-backers.
If Dev needed to be advertised and promoted, the developers would have uploaded it here themselves.

this is something I hate that is standard practice I get it's to make an incentive for people to sub but man it feels real shitty to me not to share progress reports for free. If I was a dev I would always make them free the rest behind a paywall.

Different people think differently. So I respect your opinion.
But if I were a developer, I wouldn't share it.
Nothing is free, and I don't think I need to share it with someone who doesn't give me a cent.

That's fair this is my line of thinking / point of view.
I know not everyone subs more than a month or 2 at a time and no harm in letting people see how progress is going. That and I see it as the dev having some active communication with his fan base that may not be able to afford a sub that month or just swap subs around but still follow the game.
Clearly very few devs think like that and it is an incentive for the true fans to stay subbed. But I do respect the few dev's that don't give into that standard practice a hell alot more or even if they only make every 3rd month's progress report free. Just shows he cares for the fans more to me.
