Do you seriously think that if there was a somekind mining program runing in the backround, nobody has notised before ??? Clean your own rigg first and then try again. You are not onlyone who knows something about computers and softwares.

I don't know anything about computers, and I don't think nobody would realise if this actually happened. But, one strange thing that occurred to me regarding this chapter is that it starts to waste battery REALLY fast while playing, and this didn't happen in previous versions. Any explanation? Im using a mac :eek:

Everybody who are afaid of so called mining programs, just take your rigg out of net and see by yourself does it affect your game playing.

Only two episodes to go? Sad sad sad. This was an awesome story and a fun game. But all things must end at some point.

Dr Sin made something to be proud of actually and more power to him for it.

Hope his next game, the sandbox one, will be as cool as DoD has been.

Maybe I should toss a little cash at him on his Patreon.

EDIT:

On a side note. It actually a good thing we're seeing the end of these very soon. Some Games seem to die the longer they are updated. they stay longer then they should creating weak stories trying to drag it out too long.

You would probably find a little more success here if you actually explained a bit more. First of all, to my knowledge, VirusTotal has a 256MB limit on files you can upload for scanning - this game download is almost 3 GB. So, I'm assuming you just uploaded the game .exe instead of the whole thing? And when you uploaded it, you were greeted with

Well, if two whole engines (out of 64) detecting this file as a miner (this .exe being literally 2000 times smaller than almost any miner) scares you, then don't panic. Specific engines on VirusTotal (usually Jiangmin and Cylance [Cylance is awful and will flag almost anything, including software I've personally written/compiled myself lol]) will flag ANY game developed on certain versions of Renpy as unsafe. In case you don't believe me, here are some examples -

So there's really only two conclusions to come to here - either VirusTotal flags a shitload of false positives for Renpy games, or the entire Renpy project is in fact a front to let Tom "PyTom" Rothamel steal your processing power to mine Bitcoins - very prescient of him considering he started development five years before Bitcoins even existed!

(also as an aside, VirusTotal thought that a bunch of the games I wanted to use as examples were

Also, there's been a few games that get flagged with viruses (From other posts that I have read). However, Depending on your AntiVirus/Firewall. It sometimes picks it up as a Virus due too something to do with how the .exe is set up. When, In reality, It's fine. Otherwise, It wouldn't be on here for download. As, I'm pretty sure one of the upload rules is too Virus check it etc. Before uploading.
