i was thinking of replaying this, i barely remember it. what are the essentials to get with it? i was thinkin lain's mod and the quality patch. thoughts?

There's a weird fix you need to use if doing Lain's mod since it broke. After getting the game and installing the mod, you need to go to game/scripts/dialogue/dod and then rename the episode1.rpy to script.rpy for any of the choices to be highlighted. I played through without the quality patch and it was fine.

oh really? thanks for the heads up. i assume better quality is always a good thing so that's why i thought i'd use the quality patch. havent played it yet tho probably will next week maybe

I'd say start the game without the quality patch and see if the "noise" or whatever bugs you. If it does, then you could just download and install the patch after the fact, no skin off your back really.

Hi there, what did you do to run the game...I did put the game and renpy folder in an autorun folder and put it in the package under resources but it says everytime - cannot run it. -_-

You can use this Multi5 language pack from the steam version. But I can't guarantee it's complete in all languages.

iirc I used the first ipatch listed (the one on lewd patcher). Pick which ever mod you want (I didn't use any).

If you use the Lain mod it apparently works with 1.0.3 if you change 1 file name.

i started the game again and can't get passed the bit where Tracy has taken something from bedroom drawer.

renpy keeps saying unexpected error occured, with below traceback text. i have tried diff versions of the game with same issue. anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

Also, is there a way to see the stats in the game (like the Lust score)?

Apparently Lain's Mod works with 1.0.3 if you change 1 file name. I don't use mods, so haven't done it myself. But people in the mod thread say they've done it. Click below for details.
