Not like I have any more clues than you do, but I would guess it's because DrPinkCake is a known developer with an established reputation, track record and update cycle.

Manitu is the developer for Game of Whores, and has finished Thief Story and Dany Clicker. I don't believe Teku's done any other games, as he's an artist first.
There might be more that I'm forgetting though.

We can say Teku is the one that seems to be more busy handling other projects to focus entirely on the game and considering all the art is made by him im not surprise, he probably considers driven affairs less of a priority. Specially with him having the tendency of working on varios comics that he usually never ends, im still waiting for a proper end of How High can you get, Driving Miss July and Baby Sitter Tammy lmao.

Downloaded this almost a year ago, forgot about it, played it between yesterday and today, and wow, great game, became one of my favorite 2D art games for sure, love both the art and the writing, and the main girls are lovely, now I REALLY hope it doesn't end abandoned.
