just to satisfy my curiosity: The satyr, outside the elven mansion at the beginning of the game, died, didn't she? Blood stains on the fountain, and the description given of the "pets" included "... blood that wasn't hers/yours".

I noticed, but as the blood marks were so little distance from the source and disappeared into thin air, I thought that something else could have happened, what is quite implicit is the blood-stained medallion.
