Rip "Gumdrop Games" Dev used to have more than a hundred of subscribers on Patreon and now it drops rapidly to just 65. He's slowly dying, unless he start reading and listening to what his subscribers want. Guy didn't even bother replying their comments anymore, i know that being prideful and not listening to your subscribers sometimes working but it's been 3 years. 3 years you milking your subscribers without giving them a roadmap of what you're trying to do

well maybe autor live his hard period of life and write this game about this. it is like VN Boho where MC write game about himself.
not knowing which of the characters is the author himself - it is difficult even for him to wish something worthwhile, except for the wish that the difficult period would finally end one day - whatever... (it is not for nothing that they say that even a terrible end is much better than endless horror - because the end of something means the beginning of something new, that's how life works, and when something bad drags on endlessly - it is terrible and there are no prospects). so that he could start building his life anew. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.

well. ok. but you know i starting this challenge - i mean playing DF haha...
looking at their family you can't shake the feeling that someone died. (yes, the deceased is the family itself)
a family of unhappy people is not a family but seven different selves (in Russian, family семья and seven i's семь я are written almost the same way, but the meaning is not so similar, seven i's are seven different selves, not a common whole, not a family) - each selves are separate in themselves.
and Karen in role cherry on top of cake. like a kind of cry from the heart.
the same feeling was in the finale of the series "Moonlight Detective Agency" when David and Maddie were told that the series was being closed.
This game surely is is a unique experience. I don't think I've ever played something like this.
I also checked out the sequel, Waveform, but it doesn’t appear to connect directly to the main plot.

A big NO! Any sequel and sidestory (beside the old Xmas special) of DF is nothing but a LSD trip simulator. And this is no kidding.

Anyway, since when are you following this game and this thread?
I had followed this game's devolpment since day 1 back in 2017, when the Dude was delivering monthly chapter updates, then he skipped an update for a couple of months, then he vanished without a trace for THREE LONG YEARS.
Then he came back out of the blue with this looney weird remake.
My educated guess and my own theory is that the person/people who developed the early game is/are not the same person/people who have been making this "thing".
Everybody should simply ignore this lunatic crap and move forward.
Just my 2 cents.
Promising what? what is this "thing" promising, bro? the promise had been made SEVEN years ago.
I totally get why so many people stick around in this thread and keep coming back to this game. It's genuinely that good.
About the dev being another person.. Even in the original game, there were a lot of psychedelic touches that make me wonder if it could be the same person.

We stick around because we cannot turn away from the wreck that this thread became -- especially for the nothing that this product is with no advancement on any kind of story line in the past 7 years (since 6 months after it was listed here).
