Lol no, he doesn't change the incest theme at all. He writes it the same way, just instead of writing mom he writes [insert relationship name here] and then it will be the relationship you choose at the beginning of the game. He writes it knowing you will choose mom like he's been doing for the past updates, he writes the mom as the MCs mom he just makes you choose to call her mom so he can keep the game on patreon, no incest themes are removed. Yeah I am delusional. MrDots is delusional by saying "Patreon was killing my creativity, with all the censorship, the patches, and I’m not sure if my patience would have lasted much longer" (of course he said that when his game leaves patreon because devs are not stupid to admit something like that as long as their game exist on patreon) as well as other devs that abandon their games. The only thing that distinguish a incest story from a non-incest story are the words "mom" and "son" and creators are free to make whatever they want by just leave the text blank for these words and a patch can add them later. Patreon rules is not a problem and only delusional people think that. And the fact that this game updated 8 times (almost every month) when there weren't these patreon rules is a pure coincidence. Good luck to believe that. And keep in mind that if patreon wanted to be more strict some games out there would be in trouble.

At this point patrons don't even pledge for an actual game any more, but some dutch angle pinups of longingly looking girls and - if it's their lucky day - a smoothly written "announcement" by the (con) artist himself sweetened with said artistic renders.

Over the past two years, I've been humbled by your ongoing, constructive support. 2017 was a year of bite-sized updates filling up Act I, but the one and a half month development cycle kept the story airborne, on the mind. 2018 saw the release of Part IX, a fairly larger installment at the edge of March -- the development of Part X swallowing the remaining year into void. One would hope that every hour, every minute of that time was perfectly optimized, however I cannot claim such persistence. Scope creep, stacking plates; spreading oneself thin became far easier without the cleated boot of a brief development cycle pressed against the throat.
While I've far by now realized a leaner development cycle is more fulfilling, focused than one on the lengthier side (hence the return to lean dev cycles for Act II), I've maintained my mission stated last year. Part X, the finale to the first act of Dual Family, will not be released until it is a completely finished, polished installment.
To be frank, it's certain that a lengthier development cycle have diminishing returns -- that eventually the expectation, the hype balloons to such an extent even a holy grail could be met with mere amusement. That said, I have no qualms continuing my commitment to absolute completion, nothing short. Teenage thrills, romantic chills, action-packed sets, rigorously animated sex; if there's something worth waiting for, I imagine it's a doll-eyed gal with a halfway smile.

Yes you are delusional. Please explain to me how a creator writing landlady instead of mom so he can keep the game on patreon, kills any creativity or hinders the development of the game.

Writing landlady or [insert relationship here] in place of mom so a patch or the players custom relationship choice can change it back to mom later changes nothing. You believing their bullshit excuses (or in this games case, trying to make bullshit excuses for Gumdrop) makes you delusional.

He has already made the game. I remember in 2017, when he lost a lot of subscribers, the game released in the shortest period. He asked the people not to leave the subscription, pity that I dont have a screenshot.
