No i'm saying no alternate updates and no side by side updates either. Finish the entire mom and son story as 1 game and the daught-father as a seperate game. So then supports can get double the update speed and only pay for the one they want (if they dislike one of the two routes).

But anyway as others pointed out, it probably wouldnt matter if he's purposefully going slowly. Again we know he could have released without animations just to quench subs while patching the anims later for those who would pay for them.
Unfortunately hes going this slow because people are allowing him to, no sane person would be paying for this

Started a discussions post on steam
Maybe if you included in your post how much you you been "donating" to support GD as a creator on Patreon in your post. The readers of the steam discussion, would feel more sympathy and understanding with you?, how you feel so cheated and scammed, etc. Just a thought.

Seeing someone with a dev tag is answering questions in that discussion group. Someone with a more adult approach could perhaps drop some questions that would be harder to ignore, or just delete.

Steam becoming a complete shithole if your reviews can be deleted for being negative, letting a scammer like this get away with scamming. Also a joke that a barely started project like this crappy game can be released as a "game" (even episodic). Seems like there will be no minimum standards whatsoever in the future.

Well, seeing his negative reviews not been removed. Not sure that is necessary true. But a review need to be about the actual game, if all you do is lash out on the creator for being a scumbag, or whatever. There is a good chance it will be removed, but so would be the case for any other games.

As for being "banned" for posting certain stuff in the discussion group, that is to be expected on steam. Language that fly in this thread, won't necessary fly very well over on the steam platform. If you want to throw critics at a dev and their game, you need to be smart about it, not come across as a douche. If you end up get banned, and contact steam support for help, they would consider the language you been using causing it. Doesn't matter if you are right, if you carry yourself as a bumhole.

I dont believe steam devs can remove reviews (for obvious reasons) but i'm fairly certain they can moderate discussions threads as they please so yes he can shutdown negative posts there. That means buying and reviewing is the only safe option. No idea if your review sticks after a refund though.

Just saw that Man of the House was finished today. That's a massive game done in 2 years while this "dev" is printing little "previews" from time to time. This scamdrop is pathetic.
Well most devs are trying to make a game and make money, Gumdrop is just trying to make money. You can't really blame the guy for doing what he does, he's made over 200k (before taxes and patreon cut) in the last 1 year and 9 months for no work. If my boss paid me 200k to skip work, I'd never work either like gumdrop tbh. The pathetic ones are those who give him money.

And yet another update missed. Not shocked. At all. What is shocking is the amount of money going into his account on Patreon. I'm actually staggered by the amount of money people are paying this dude to basically exist. And...I got curious. Isn't what he's doing basically fraud? Yes. I know I'm gonna get shit for calling foul on this asswipe on this site, but really. The question needs asking.

Why not just delete or lock this thread and ban gumdrop game on this forum ?
The worst thing is not having bad reviews, the worst thing is "nobody talk about his game"

Haters in one side + fanboys in the others side = Lot's of talk about his game = $$$

Stats of the thread : views 4M
4 fucking Millions of view.

Stop making gumdrop famous.

Is not about the money... Is about the half-lie or the lie with everything. If he wants or this team wants money.... Just do a good job.... and keep ...always... being honest; ex: "people the update will take 2 years a'right?" No problem we dont care. But one deadline after another? ... plz ...

this opinion of mine... this affirmation of mine is absolute. This is a scam... or like a miracle... hum... will be very weird if this update show up and the next updates come a little more faster or a lot faster then this one.

I dont think so. I imagine patreon has similar rules as kickstarter which protect them and the creator. They dont have to give you anything in return. His tiers simply promise that they give you access to the updates earlier than others. I'm not defending his actions of course but I am talking purely from a TOS standpoint. Pretty sure it is fair game and it is up to users not to support it.
