You can easily circumvent this by including the option to define custom relationships. Normally people put "landlady" for Mom and "roommate" for the sister as the default, and then they give the option to change the relationships in game.

You can also just make a patch which you can upload outside of Patreon on here or Discord. Subscribestar is an option as well.
