Whelp, I finished the game, so time to give my thoughts on it.
Overall, this was a pretty enjoyable. A lot of people complain about RPGM games, but I happen to enjoy them, if they're done right. And for his first attempt, Cas did a pretty damn good job.
I liked how you could learn skills, but didn't like that you learned them with money. I think a skill point system should have been incorporated. The stat allocation system was nice, but flawed. I think it should be tweaked in future games. Like for one thing, not capping stat allocation at 100. The alchemy system had a lot of potential, but fell short of being particularly useful.
I was disappointed to discover thatthe CGs were done by AI, but it still looks pretty nice. And more importantly, it's consistent. I hate games where the AI art has a single character have 1000 completely different appearances. I think the AI program that Cas used needs to learn a little more about human anatomy for the sex scenes, but there were still some that made me spooge.
The biggest selling point of the game by far, would have to be the story. It keeps you (or at least me) enthralled from beginning to end. The only issue is some of the bad translations, but it really wasn't as bad as what you see in some games. In the future, I'd suggest that Cas collaberate with someone whose first language is English, and has a good grasp of spelling and grammar.
I will say, the story got a little too dark for my liking towards the end, but I was satisfied with how it ended. I hope Cas sticks to thw standard of having a happy ending, with his next game. I hate games with a dark or open-ended ending. I see enough dark depressing shit in the real world. So I wanna actually see something happy in my fiction.
I think that's about all I needed to say. Great job Cas, and I look forward to your next project!
