totally not normal
Kagura Games probably just used some type of particular coding to translate the game

which makes me think why they haven't translated the EX version because how tough the translation seems

now i understand why kagura doesn't what to traslate the EX

what the developer whould have throught to do that, and as D4RKM4GM4 says they probably modified something in the game code or added something to traslate it

Yeah, that's gonna be a problem, right now we didn't find a solution, i gonna look more but for now look like there's no much we can do

If anyone knows, tell me, if I don't find a way soon, I'm probably gonna have to change commission so I don't delay the list

I talked with someone, he told me that there may have better luck on bringing the EX DLC content to the English version.

He said that edition everything but the exe would be easy and nothing needs to be repacked, but would require compare/contrasting and patience, as mostly would go though the text files.

However I'm not good enough with computers to do it, if someone is capable, tell me, we may still get the chance to translate this game

Are you working with people who have actual game modding experience?
If not then I really doubt a translation project for stuff from this game would turn out well.
Afaik this game is a homebrew engine using the japanese library DxLib and not any sort of "system" like rpgmaker, renpy, kirkiri and the like. Whole other ball game.
Best case scenario you can just add / edit some data files from the DLC and it will work fine. More likely there will be some kind of problems that come up that will require some understanding of how the game's system works to fix.

Just starting out the game, and sometimes it seems like text sprites for area locations stops loading properly - and the % for the interactive mode after escaping appears to having the same issue. Anyone know the cause or a fix?

So, the EX version mostly wont get translated right? Then I should play the normal version and forget about EX for my own good

I don't know if this has been answered but is there any way to fix word wrapping in this game? The text cuts out outside the window

Heyya. Everything in japanese version is on hentai-sharing.net, and can be installed in this order: the basic game v1.1.9.11 > the permanent ripped cloth fun patch v1.2.2.4 > Dungeon Town EX v2.1.0.0 > Dungeon Town EX+ v2.2.0.1. The Dungeon Town EX+ has no new content just cheat and the passworded cg gallery files, as written on the dlsite, so it's not really necessary. These patches leave the previous versions of the patched files with the "old" extension, which are unnecessary and can be deleted.

I have downloaded all of them and reuploaded just the installers to because the katfile and rosefile file-hosting webpages have 100KB/s download speed and 1 file at a time...
The Dungeon Town EX is a japanese patch installation file, I don't know the method to extract it and then bring it to the english version. Maybe those guys you have messaged with might have an idea...

However, I could unpack the dat files with Universal Extractor 2.0.0 RC3, the events are in txt files and the images in png files, in both the japanese EX and the english gog versions (the english version has the chinese version as well btw). They don't need to be repacked, they work from their unpacked folders that match the dat file names. The english UI pngs work in the japanese EX version with re-placements of the translated objects in the pictures. The english text also work in the japanese EX version, except like Daemielle wrote the words cut outside the window but the letters also misaligned because of font problem. Either changing the font size or squeezing them like in RPG Maker VX Ace, if this can be solved, then it's possible to do a full-fantranslation. In the english version there are additional non-png font files provided which are also mentioned in the data\gadget\font.txt. I copied and rewrote them in the japanese EX version or just typed those font names in the font.txt but neither works...

Very nice! And how it says in this tool's description, I forgot to mention that I also used Locale Emulator to play with the japanese Dungeon Town EX, otherwise it shows jumbles for japanese letters (even if my region is set to japan that works for other games with japanese language like for eushully games or GuildMaster), and in the english text case for those arrow and other characters... But man, this is such a nice idea for a tool however! (y)

Yeah, now we just need to wait some time in the comission list of Dazed to see if it's possible, seeing that the biggest problem look to have a solution

Honestly this is one of the few big games where I feel like an AI translation would not take away too much (the official version feels MTLy at times even, though that could just be how the original is written.)

But, again, I would not have too much confidence unless you have somebody who has really went through the game and knows what does what in the files.
At the very least, before you send things off to a translator, I would test by replacing the existing dialogue with random junk and playing to make sure there are no issues. You really never know what of nonsense can come up.

Also, is there a reason why a monospace font couldn't have been used as opposed to a hook? That would probably be more stable even if it looks worse.

I never thought of that, yeah monospace font could work probably, but im too lazy to edit font files and i don't actually benefit from it as from tinkering with asm/re.

Also this is first of two solutions i had, the second one was to do something like kagura and add support for normal fonts but i have skill issue.

Hi everyone!

I found a fix for the issue where the game screen freezes (the image freezes but you can hear sounds indicating that the game is still running and buttons are being pressed). The problem is related to using the integrated graphics processor in the CPU. Nvidia drivers automatically select the use of the integrated graphics processor in the CPU instead of the dedicated GPU for the game. When I changed it in the Nvidia Control Panel from using the integrated CPU graphics to the GPU (GTX 1650), the problem disappeared, and the game started working better.

Also idk about the "Golem core" bug. I'm using the Steam version with Kagura v6 patch. I found the golem and killed it. The Golem Core fell out and it is in my inventory and appear in Items Database.

Also regarding the disappearing text (when instead of the floor number image, just a black rectangle appears). I'm not sure why this happens, but it occurs rarely (somewhere between 15-30 minutes into dungeon clearing) and doesn't affect gameplay. Re-launch the game fixes the issue.

I have a theory that this text issue appears after defeating a boss and entering the dream world.
