it seems like you're using the official english version
well that version is buggy as hell
get the Old MTL version instead and you should be fine

According to DLsite, there are bug fixes in the English version on Apr/18/2025, any kind soul that can update main thread with the updated version? Does this fix the multiple issues reported before?

I don't remember what the cursed ring do but I finished this game just raw doging it without using any items except when I go for the true ending

read the ring's description (the text on top of page when the ring is selected) and you will learn why it's called CURSED ring

use it if you want to fail rolls on purpose (for some scenes(?) or to get her knocked out by a trap)
