No I didn't. I ended up scrapping the alternative characters because adding more during development would have required me to finish every animation for every enemy. Animation is the most time consuming part of the process, and finishing every animation (around 50 unique loops) for a character would take upward of 7 months if that were my primary focus.
If I do add alternative characters to the new version, it will likely be as an expansion after the final release of the game, since I would rather flesh out one playable character to be as dynamic as possible.
This gameplay is bad. The animations are too meandering relative to the window to block. The sorceress' sphere thing is probably the single worst example but all of them do this.
