The update was really good. I can be critical, but I think archipote is actually a real genuine dev who isn't doing this just to milk subs. It does feel like he wants to actually create something that will stand up to scrutiny. Not just slopping out shit for cash.
The game is obvious in it's quality. A lot of thought goes into it and it can feel real in it's own tongue and cheek way.

Spoilers on the update:
It was Interesting, the gameplay section is strong, but it left me with some concerns in regards to how the scenes are going to play out in the future.
aggravated me a little, and hey, maybe it's just the game's style and it will keep on being that way, I can say however that it's not my cup of tea.
Edit: As to not leave things too negative, the writing was also as good as always, the costumes looked good, etc, all things people come to expect at this point. Just lacking in actual money shots (in my opinion).

Mmmh, without spoiling anything, there are also some VERY explicit and lewd scenes in this update, in my opinion. The scenes will become more explicit as we go along, of course. But I understand what you're saying, and I'm not planning to make an "infinite edging game". Just try to spread the scenes out carefully, to leave some room for excitement when something "more" happens!
Also, I try to think about the "current content of the game" and not "the dev time", which can add to the frustration for those who have been waiting for months or even a year for the old ones like you (whom I really appreciate, and I hope to see you again for the upcoming updates!). But for a new player, the scenes come relatively quickly, knowing that the game currently takes about 5 or 6 hours to complete. I'm not forgetting that the game is released periodically and that it is therefore necessary to think about giving something satisfying to those who are waiting for updates (which I hope, I did with this update), but without forgetting to keep an interesting line of tension in view of a "complete and finished game"!
Of course, if you think it's too slow, your opinion is important and don't hesitate to give details (in spoiler if possible if it concerns the update release, or in PM!)

Alright, I was short because I was slightly annoyed at that one particular scene, but the pacing is good. As you can see there this account is as old as this forum, so I think I can recognize when a game is going nowhere and don't think this is the case at all.
It's actually that, despite the pacing of the story and sexual acts being good, presentation(?) isn't. I feel like dubious CGs are not a bad thing for when things are heating up, but as the story progress I expect to actually being able to see what's happening.
In this particular case, the blowjob shots we get here, are somehow less explicit than the previous update. The annoyance comes from the fact that we are (probably?) coming back to the PC interface right after this, and I find it unlikely that we are going to get any more clear cut shots than what we had when we could actually observe Morgaine freely. But as I said before, maybe that's just how scenes are going to be set up and it's the games style. Someone posted a "similar game" list a while back, and most of those games are highly rated here, but I don't like any of them exactly because scenes are just snippets and single shot pictures (actually the shitty IA models may have something to do with it as well).
I don't regret supporting you though and I wish you the best luck moving forward.
Ahh.... This is tough. I have been following along with the technical difficulties and the general scale of the update, so I tried to keep my expectations very tempered. Wasn't willing to wait any longer though so I put up some money and got to playing. It's... hmm. I think the technical achievement of the game was very good. Flashy, crisp, sharp. Minigames all worked just fine except for some queue-overlapping images. But... I have to say this update has cooled off my interest in the game quite a lot. It wasn't even lewd-able for me, really. I will put some hard spoiler tags on story specifics, but to generally voice my opinion... I don't think the game stuck with even one 'scene' enough for me to have any concept of what was really going on or why it was hot. I felt somewhat time-pressured to enjoy some things, and then I kept waiting for the 'main scenes' to come, before I realized it was over and I was rather disappointed. Everything in my spoiler tags is going to be very direct, so don't click if you don't want to know, patient fans!

Thank you for this very detailed review! Once again, I completely understand the feeling that some people have towards the update. Some people, like you, prefer the "despot" part of the game, as you mentioned, and so an update that takes place completely elsewhere was sure to divide!
It's like I said last time, I think a new player will appreciate this update much more than those who waited four months to get it, since they'll have the change and the refresh of the context right in their playthrough game and will appreciate it as it was intended (I hope, at least!). Or even you later, if you do a playthrough again in a year and come across it again, with a bit of luck and the change of context, you might appreciate it more!
As for the scenes and the payoff, I understand too. From my point of view, these are the most ‘lewd’ scenes I've made, with a lot of cumplay in particular and explicit scenes/exhibitonnism, but indeed they are for most part distributed in a way other than a linear plot and that can be not your cup of tea.
In any case, to reassure those who were less pleased that we are leaving the desktop part, it will of course be back with the next update. I still hope that you will like 2.5 in general, and of course I repeat it again but it never hurts, all your feedback is important and taken into account
