The first review said they didn’t feel like it was female protagonist because of no first person pov and things happened without her. Do you think I have labeled the game correctly? The users on their site seem very pedantic about the labels and #1 feed back was they didn’t like female protag.
1) Given that the only actual choice in the game has "cum in
my mouth" vs "cum on
my face", it's pretty clear that we're deciding on behalf of and in first person of Christine. Thus female protagonist tag would be correct either way. Whether we also follow Sarah or the Dad (thus getting male & multiple protagonist tag) is up for debate, seeing as for example the one "fill her up" option was inside Christine's daydream. Alas, the stigma of female protag is well earned at least.
2) Sadly true. Female protag games seem to be pretty disliked by a rather vocal crowd - which I can partly understand, tbf.
Seducing dudes is usually not the content straight men want to see, and FemProtag games are often just badly written and extreme. It's like sandbox or RPGM - there are great ones, but man, are the bad ones outnumbering them.
I know it's a weak consolation, but I think some of the less than kind replies are a result of people feeling frustrated and "let down", thinking Nef&Midlife was back. Don't take it to heart. One might say that using the same banner pic / thumbnail wasn't the smartest move, but on the plus side, it got attention and going forward those with interest in the project will know what name to look out for.
Reading your latest reply, you seem to to have a general plan (which I really like btw! Would have been my idea for where to take the game too, seeing as the best fem protag games are usually the ones focussing mainly on lesbian content and you can build upon a female cast that people already care about..) and the endurance to see it through, even if it might take years. Which, as things stand, would still see your game finish before Midlife Crisis does..
