None of the files that should have execute permission (the thing that says a file is a program) do. I couldn't get the game to work by changing permissions, so I found another simple fix:mac version for halloween special is not working? any suggestions?
Ah good to know. But no, didn't use 7zip. Winrar instead.the day3-4 download is a zip file, I assume created by Ren'Py's "Build Distributions". The halloween special is a rar file. I assume the zip got unzipped, then recompressed as a rar with 7zip. 7zip does not save Mac/Linux file permissions - please don't use it to compress multiplatform archives!
As I said, they're not .webp files. They're jpg files.
They are webp files renamed as .jpg. If you just want to look at the cg, download the full version and you will be able to view thumbnails in explorer. If you have the compressed version you needNo they're .webp files with a .jpg extension

The Halloween release is what I am talking about there. The regular version is not badSpecifically the Halloween special or Ecchi Sensei as a whole? It's not going to be a game for everyone, but I will say the game, writing, and art improve quite a lot as it progresses, and once you get into day 2 and especially day 3 content, its pretty great. Again, not for everyone, but if you saw any potential in the characters or style, it grows quite a lot, its pacing gets much better, and all around becomes a pretty great game - if not a bit crazy, hokey, and dorky, but often in a very charming way.
